SM3's problems were not enough character development, lack of proper direction, too many storylines, wasted potential of storyline conclusions, terrible pacing, making Pete's "dark side" more of comedic rather than serious value, etc. It had great CGI and action, as well as it being very exciting with it being a Spidey film, but I was expected a movie that was a far better masterpiece than it's predecessor.
2/4 Stars
Very disappointing.
- Shrek 2 was a HUGE disappointment, so the sequel will probably suck, too.
- Pirates 2 was a disappointment, but not a huge one. The sequel looks very promising, and I am desperate to be satisfied right now.
- Transformers sounds to be disappointing from what I've heard, but it hasn't been released yet, and it is still my #1 most anticipated movie of the year.
- Potter looks dark and gritty. I hope it is better than Goblet, and being near or beyond the quality of Azkaban.
- The Bourne movies are some of my favorite movies, so here is to hoping that it also doesn't suffer from the "third movie curse".
- Fantastic Four: ROTSS looks like it'll be a hit or miss for me. It looks nice, but will we be promised what Tim Story said he'd give?
- I was never a fan of the Saw movies, but as the sequels progress, they seem to be substituting quality for gore.
