Ladies and Gentlement, at 10:31 this evening, notions struck of the reality that Banjo Kazooie 3 could have an overall evaluation of 77%... in other words: Sector Killzone 1.

To remedy panic and alleviate fears, I have put together a plan in case Banjo Kazooie 3 is, in fact, as bad as Killzone:

Step One: Secure oxygen mask on yourself before assisting others.

Remember to assist others.

Step Two: Talk about Gears of War 2:

By this time, Gears of War 2 should be announced and have at least one media showing. Refer back to this often.

Step 3: Remind others of the 7.5 Ratchet and Clank got from Gamespot.

With that diversionary tactic thrown into the fray, it should provide a temporary smokescreen to reassemble for defensive maneuvers.

Defensive Maneuver 1: Rare still hasn't settled into the Xbox 360 architecture and/or operating as a subsidiary of Microsoft.

Defensive Maneuver 2: Bring up the fact that Uncharted disappointed but still managed to be the best PS3 game.

This is about more than just you, me and Gears of War. If we don't secure the release of Banjo Kazooie 3 then we are ALL going to DIE!!!

*printing out, stapling to wall*

So if Banjo really does turn out to be a bomb... what do you think is going to happen to Rare?

Surely destroying the last of their great IPs is going to cause some management shifts to happen, at the very least.

That's probably true, too. But I highly doubt they could **** this one up. Their games have been getting progressively better, so that's a little glimmer of hope.

You know, that's true. Rare's games have been coming through the ages from N64 to Xbox 360. With Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo sitting firmly between what should be on the Xbox and what should be on the Xbox360 (and Viva Pinata just being weird), Rare ought to get Banjo Kazooie 3 right on the mark.

That "Party Animals" edition of Viva Pinata wasn't made by Rare, correct?

No, that was made by Krome Studios, who I think usually does First-Person-Shooters...

Yeah, I heard that it's essentially the same four games over and over again.

I don't know if MS's plan to cram an IP into the throats of kids until they like it is going to work. I think they should just keep trying new things until they strike a chord.

I want Viva Pinata 2: Pinata Harder more than I want Banjo Kazooie with a Vengance right now...Viva Pinata was awesome :o

In all honesty...I should have a 360 now. I don't know what I'm playing at. But I will be owning one if BK3 turns out to be good

I hope they bring back the mass-collectibles of Banjo Kazooie 1. Anyone who's played Crackdown knows how awesome it is to collect stuff.

Just as long as the jiggies aren't as hard to find as the flags in Assassin's Creed. :D

By the way, wtf happened to Splinter Cell Conviction?

2009? Wow, they must have been afraid of MGS4 and rightly so.

Exactly. Microsoft wants some money off the 360 version before Conviction is released and destroys it.
