Worst Case Scenario: Back-up Plan for the Failure of Banjo Kazooie 3.

So if Banjo really does turn out to be a bomb... what do you think is going to happen to Rare?

Microsoft paid too much to simply liquidate Rare like they've done with the other studios. Especially since Rare hasn't been worth the price tag Microsoft has paid so far.

I think Rare will just simply loose all autonomy that they have and Microsoft will force them to develop games like Halo if Bungie doesn't do it and Microsoft won't let them do things that they would like to do like Viva Pinata, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, etc.

I can actually agree with that. With the advent of the Wii, Microsoft really isn't going to get a kiddy following with Viva Pinata alone, anyway.

I've stated it plenty of times before that Rare's fanbase did not follow them to the Xbox brand. They stuck with Nintendo. And the Xbox's fanbase just isn't the type of fanbase that goes with Rare's style of games.

Also the Wii is not kiddy. It is a console designed for all ages with games such as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, the Legend of Zelda series, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wii Sports, and Super Mario Galaxy. There are also a few adult tiles such as Manhunt 2, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, No More Heroes, etc. Get it out of your head that Nintendo is trying to appeal to a childish demographic. They're trying to appeal to the largest demographic possible: everyone!

Every company is trying to appeal to everyone. That doesn't change how the Wii is kiddy.

I don't see how it can be called kiddy when it's so appealing to old people.

Because old people drool, defecate their own wardrobe and can't talk, much like a baby.

The collector's edition of Banjo Kazooie 3 should come with a life-size scale head of Banjo. :o

i'd prefer a bookbag with Kazooie sticking out of it thank you very much :o

Everyone has an inner child. Mine just has excellent taste and knows it's place.

My love of Deus Ex and other lovely mature games offsets the little beast.

excellent taste in a developer thats going down hill fast.

:o

They hit their lowest mark with Conker in my eyes. Everything else has been a step back up.

But to spend five years porting it to the Xbox is the epitome of "horrible development methods".

It was a little more than a port I think. Remake is more accurate. But yeah, 5 years for a game that's already been designed and written is a little excessive.

Even by Rare's standards, a remake with a new multiplayer sequence should take no longer than three years. Especially considering Rare's team-size and publisher. Vastly-improved zombie chapter or not.

Ugh. And to think they could have just made a full-on Conker sequel.

And I must say, of all of Rare's games on the N64, Conker is the absolute last one I'd want remade. Why not Banjo Kazooie or Perfect Dark instead? Jet Force Gemini would have worked wonders on the Xbox controller and honestly would have raised the bar for Gears of War.

IGN just got the first exclusive image of Banjo 3!

Its more for your Grandparents than the hard core now. :(
