The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Worst lines in the movie

Time doesn't have to do anything with this,Gwen died because of her action by helping Peter in that moment, she doesn't regret anything,it was her choice.
Yes. I don't agree Peter didn't learn anything. He didn't want Gwen at the clock tower, but she was adamant. His fear of putting her in harm's way also saw them break up for a long period of time. Peter was feeling guilty about Captain Stacy with the visions, which shows development from his "those are the best kind" quip at the end of TASM. At the end of TASM2, he learns to put the past where it belongs, but to carry the message/lesson each person gave him.

He couldn't save the "YOU'RE A FRAUD" line. I cringed soooo hard.

Everyone seems to have a problem with that line, but I thought Dane sold it.

It reminded me of Frano's Harry to Otto "You're a hack!"Harry's always so over-dramatic.:hehe:

Franco's line worked for me, because he was actually saying it to someone.

Dane just shouted it out of the blue, to nobody. :S

You've never shouted to yourself when you're really angry? People do it all the time. He's dying and the only person who he thinks can save him just refused to help. I think anyone would react similarly.

I have.

But the with way the line was written, it didn't make much sense for Harry to refer to anyone by their name, if they weren't even there with him.

Lol

I don't like "I'm Doctorr Kaftaaa" or "You're a fraud Spider-Man" it should have been "F*** ** Spider-Man!"

Man people like to nick pick with this movie. The only bad lines are the its my birthday and going to light my candles and when max talking to him self in his appartmet. The you'rs a fraud was fine he was made and do you really think in a spider man movie that they are going to use the f word no way!

Ok, there are 3 which take the cake:
"Right as Rain"
"You are a fraud, Spider-Man"
"It's my birthday, now it's time to light my candles"

Right as rain I loved.
You are a fraud spider man had no issue. Like I said he was made and they are not going to use the f word in a spider man movie so that is probly why they had him say that.
It my birthday was probly the worse line in the movie but the way he said it made it not has bad.

I honestly like all the Jamie Foxx one liners. Electro wasn't clearly meant to be like a super tragic character in the first place, and while those one liners weren't exactly genius writing or anything, pre-transformation Max already kinda ruined it for me so at that point I just wished they would at least have some fun with the character, even at risk of being really corny

and fun they had indeed, never at any point was I bored by the Electro scenes

still, I don't think Jamie Foxx was a good pick to begin with. I really like him as an actor, and I do think he could play a magnificient villain someday, but why would they get Foxx for this interpretation of Max Dillon? it would be different if he was what Electro was in the Ultimate comics, a glorified henchman that just had fun taking down Kingpin's enemies, just being badass and evil because it feels so good. Now that would've made much more of Jamie's potential. Or if they would've done it relatively the same way as they did, but instead having Ben Foster as the weird socially akward guy, showing more of the so called restrained anger they so much talked about in the featurettes that didn't really play out that much

I like elector but I really wish the would stop with the whole sypemthtic villans and just have a evil villain already has it is getting kind of old now. Sm 1 goblin was sypemthtic and sm2 doc ock was to and sm 3 so was sandman and harry venom wasn't. ASM1 lizard was and asm2 elector was supposed to be but I didn't really fell that bad for him and harry was to rhino wasn't. Still that means out of the 9 villians we have had like 7 have been symmetric.

I love the you cant contany me line and the I'm elector line.

He hasn't grown as a person in 2 films.

He most certainly has grown as a person over two films. I can't see how he hasn't at all.

Most pertinent example is the end of the second film, he's absolutely destroyed as a human being, but Gwen's speech showed him the importance of hope, going beyond what you suffer, ect. We saw what happened when people didn't grow beyond their suffering (Harry, Electro), they're antithesis' of Peter Parker to exemplify this growth of him as a person, he just won't back down forever, he'll keep fighting.

In the first film he started this crazy vendetta against Ben's killer, was told by the police captain that he lost traces of a hero with the selfish endevour, I don't recall Peter going after any more people in that fashion anymore, it's when he started saving instead of hunting people, that's growth, that's responsibility, that's Uncle Ben's legacy. He's actually responsible for the death of Ben Parker in this series, which I think adds more to his grief and the gravity of the lesson, I think Ben Parker was in the second film in Peter's heroic actions, in those little moments when he was helping that kid or trying to convince electro to not light his candles, I thought "show not tell" was a good thing? He's there.

He grows from a stuttery nervous teenager to a slightly less stuttery, confident teenager who graduates.

What makes Peter Parker so great is that he hurts, and he trancends that. This sums Peter up quite well, and I think the films go a pretty sufficient way in showing this. http://comicsalliance.com/ask-chris-96-why-spider-man-is-the-best-character-ever-yes/

Don't be surprised if the next film shows Peter growing even MORE, mark Webb does his humans well, he's very good at that.

As for my least favourite line? Probably how Dr Kafka said Eletro, it bothered me deeply.

Also, to adress originalmile's qualm, Gwen said that as an indicator that they'd been on and off between films as Peter was dealing with the promise, didn't see a problem with that at all, natural line that also fills in the gaps between films, it's what you try to do.

The whole he hasn't growen thing is about has redeculse has people that said that peter was a jerk in asm1. I don't see how peter was a jerk at all.

I think he's grown, but not as much as some people would've liked him to have.

I think people were expecting him to go from teenage, inexperienced Spidey to grown up, 80s/90s era Spidey, which wouldn't have happened.

He's a 19 year old still, and he has 2 more movies to grow in, unlike Tobey who grew up in a manner of minutes and had nowhere else to grow.

I think we saw glimpses of the new Peter Parker at the end of TASM2

Me too.

I think Peter will be much more mature as a person in TASM3, but of course he will still be the fun loving Spidey!

There will be a much bigger difference between Peter and Spidey in TASM3, I'm sure of it.

I'm looking forward to seeing a good interpretation of MJ as well, got a feeling her actor is going to to really well in the role, maybe not as much chemistry with Andrew, but I feel that almost fits the role.

Oh another one I disliked

"Want to be friends?"
"I had a friend once, didn't work out"
"Same here"

felt a little forced.

They were like 7 years olds! :funny:

"Do you wanna be my fwend?" "Yah sure, ok."

:oldrazz:

When I was seven, I asked someone to be my friend and they tried to bury me to death in the playsand :(

:wow:

That's mean.

"Hey, I think I know that guy!"

Worst cameo, imo. Just under his SM3 and Captain America cameo. :o

To be fair, they were never going to beat TASM, better to keep it low key

-"I break up with you." Who talks like that?

-"It's my birthday. Time to light the candles! *sings "Happy Birthday" to himself*" What a tragic backstory. Electro becomes Electro ... On his birthday! Oh, the humanity!

-"I'm sorry I didn't pick The Bahamas of hiding places." *crickets* Yeah ... That's not a funny or charming line.

-Pretty much all of Peter's incoherent rambling when he interrupted Gwen from going into her Oxford interview. He was acting like a freakin' drug addict. It was painfully unfunny. Gwen's frustrated dialogue in this scene felt so forced, too. There's one line where Emma Stone interrupts herself and gives out a frustrated "I have to go" as if she's talking about her wanting to leave the set for the day. Both actors were horrible in this scene, because there was nothing to work with. I would have been frustrated, too.

-"I AM TEH RHIIIINOOO!" Buy my toy, kids!

-"He does whatever a spider can." And pretty much the rest of Harry's lines.

-"You're a fraud, Spider-Man! *throws glass*" Okay, I take this one back. This is the best line of the movie, because it had me literally laughing to the point of tears. I went to see this movie with my brother, and we were both dying. Dane DeHaan serving some Tommy Wiseau realness here, bless him. How is this line not a meme yet?
