NBC opened the evening with a repeat of Last Comic Standing 5 (#3: 2.9/ 5 at 8 p.m.), followed by an original installment of the reality/competition (#4: 4.0/ 7) and a Wednesday edition of Dateline (#2: 5.0/ 8) from 9-11 p.m. Comparably, Last Comic Standing at 9 p.m. opened the season last week with a 5.0/ 8 in the overnights on June 13.
Despite airing a night of all originals, ABC's combination of The Next Best Thing (#3: 4.2/ 8), American Inventor (#3: 4.4/ 7) and Traveler (#3: 3.2/ 5) still finished a weak fourth in the overnights. Last were two original episodes of the CW's Hidden Palms at a mere 1.0/ 2 from 8-10 p.m.
i really like this show...is it getting cancelled??
well that was a waste of time. if I'd known it was going to end like this, I wouldn't even have bothered.
haven't producers of serialised dramas realise that they can't pull s#!t like this unless your show is a monster hit of Lost and 24 caliber? seriously, it happens to every other show like this. what, were they trying to pull a Jericho here?
I'm pissed. I liked the show, but ending it like this (the show's been cancelled, it's done) just made it a complete waste of time.
