Comics Would a Gargoyles/Spider-Man crossover work?

I mean Disney owns Marvel comics now and it got me thinking, maybe there should be a crossover of Gargoyles and Spider-Man.

It could work as it could have Xanatos teaming up with Kingpin in a way to get rid of Spider-Man once and for all even frame him of a crime he didn't commit, Goliath and the rest of the pack think he is the enemy but later becomes a misunderstanding when they team up to find out who is the real enemy.

Why not? Can't be any goofier than the Punisher/Archie crossover from the 90's.

Greg Wiseman wrote a Gargoyles/Spectacular Spider-Man crossover and had the voice casts perform it. It was light hearted but a lot of fun.
