Would anyone like to see a CGI 'POPEYE' movie?

Somebody who can sound like a big, gruff bully.

There was a live action movie of Popeye already made.

and it IS still excellent.

one of the BEST comic to film movies ever.

I have it on DVD and watch it often.

I also have it on DVD & thought it was well crafted in all aspects. Robin Williams was spot on with the voice & acting. If they were to go with live action, I don't know who do a better job than Williams.

Yes...with a beard.

The 1930's Popeye is the one that should be used for the movie, the no holds barred, sarcastic one. The 40s and later year versions were kinda toned down.

Would've loved this to have been in 2D (non-CGI 3D).

That would be a great to have Robin Williams voice Popeye.

will Popeye play something outdated like Rock Band in the movie or listen to Tone Loc on his boom box? That's what I wanna know.

What do sailors do nowadays anyway?

I was going to say , Go to bars and hit on people's girlfriends.

Does anyone remember the Popeye arcade game , I used to love that.

Well, maybe not THAT realistic. His arm dimensions alone would look crazy.

My GF kept on calling Popeye "Eyore the Sailor Man".

Thanks Terry. Kinda shocked no one has updated this trend with the Genndy news till now.

Who else liked the Robert Altman Popeye movie, with Robin Williams? My only beef was the sets; it felt like a play.

I love Altman's version.I haven't seen it in awhile though.I may pop in the DVD soon.
