I constantly think about the Superman movies that were never and I wonder about it.. Do you guys think Cage had the stuff to be the man of Steel?

Those pictures make me die a little inside.
They're THAT bad.
He makes a bad Johny Blaze.
He would make a horrible Superman.
LOL are you kidding me? You're actually being serious?LOL, they are WOFUL, WOEFUL pictures. Some people on the internet have no shame or artistic ability.
As for Cage, I am possibly the one person who thinks he would have been awesome. Not as a Supes in the Reeve mold, ala Routh, but as a more troubled, messianic, alien figure.
It's not cause and effect. How are the roles even remotely similar?
Do have to see Robert Deniro play the the Human Torch to know he's wrong for the part? You've seen it then?

Nicolas Cage is about 15 years too old to be even TRYING to be Superman. Brandon Routh was, IMO, the very best part about Superman Returns, I can't even imagine how much worse the film would've been with Cage instead
LOL, hold your horses there, fella. Read what I wrote. I never said Cage should have been cast in Returns. Or that Routh was not great.
I am only saying that Cage would have been perfect in the role of Superman for Tim Burton's Superman Lives! back in 1998.
Which would have been so radically different from the Superman we know there's no point in comparing him to Routh.
Nic as Supes? Nope, he's soo wrong as Clark/Superman
