Actually, when you say it like that, it doesn't sound so bad. Hmm maybe they could do without the shirt rip as we know it.

I think a slow motion shirt unbuttoning while leaping off a building, with him pulling the shirt apart by the very end of the shot, then cutting to him flying off at superspeed... Sounds even more epic!

They should just do it the 'change' the old fashioned way...in the phone booth. It keeps it tied to its old classic ways, a nice relic of the past. Storywise, Clark has nay worry about anyone going in and finding his clothes, cause nobody uses phonebooth's anymore

This is supposed to be a reboot, so echoes from movies and series of the past should not be used, aside from split second moments (such as the one used in Superman The Movie when Clark was on the street searching for a place to change and glanced at a public phone, but instead of being a classic booth it was one of the new seventies kiosks -- that was a great take on a classic moment that became a classic moment of its own in less than five seconds). With only two hours to fill, this movie will flop if it spends much time dragging elements from past movies. Superman Returns did that a lot, to its detriment.

Yes. But a big part of the fun of Superman is the fact that his disguise or secret identity is just as thin as his super suit. It keeps the other characters always on the edge of about to figure it out, giving Clark more to do to keep up the appearance of being someone else.

I liked the homages to the Reeve films since Returns was supposed to be a sequel to the first two. In the reboot I DO NOT want things like, "flying is the safest way to travel" and the little lines that Reeve used. I do want Cavill to have the same mannerisms as Chris, since that is how I believe Clark and Superman should ultimately be portrayed on screen. Get caught up in a revolving door, trip over your own feet, say gee and swell. You have to make people believe that there is no way in hell that Clark Kent and Superman are the same person

What about the line "Kneel Before ZOD!"? Should that be put in the film?

Only if Shannon can deliver the line as convincingly as Stamp.
(If it ever finds its way into the new film, however, I have a feeling it's Faora who'll be saying it.)

Call me crazy, but did anybody notice a few scenes in TDK that remind you of B89?

The scene where Joker's sitting at the head of the table full of gangsters? Both movies.

The scene where Joker's standing in the middle of street daring Batman to kill him. Batman ends up crashing the Batpod? Replace the Batpod with the Batwing.

Batman causing the Joker to fall off high buildings? Instead he lives instead of dying.

Or is it just me?

And Batman Forever. You have sonar vision. You have Two-Face flipping his coin to decide the fate of the other villain after said villain tried to talk him into something, then the scene ends before we find out the result. And then you have Two-Face falling to his death because of Batman in mid flip, with the result of the coin flip shown after.

I think Shannon could say it and scare the pants off of people while doing it...and having Faora say it as well would be interesting
