I wasn't into the old show cuz of its horrible animation. But this is just awesome, good animation, good fight scenes and I love what they do with the music. I just saw GangLand and that episode was amazing :yay:

I laughed.

EDIT: D'oh! I misread and thought that both were describing this show. I agree with the OP, this show is amazin'.

I love how they balance Peter and spidey, where you don't just get one of them most of the time.

I was like that for a while too. When it comes down to it, I still favor art that's closer to traditional "comic-style" artwork, but I also realize that when shows do that (like the 90's X-men and Spider-man toons) you end up sacrificing the fluid movement in the animation, mostly because these shows can't afford to have detailed animation like that and still have the kind of realistic movement shows like BTAS and TSSM do.

Exactly - that's why I love this show's animation!
At first, it felt kinda overly-simplistic, but it grows on you, and now, I absolutely love it!
(PS: This is the best show ever made.)

I love the show as well. So far, I would definitely say the first two seasons rival the first two seasons of BTAS.

On a side note, I would love to one day see a cartoon that has the kind of comic book like detail the 90's Spider-man and X-men had, but with the fluid movement that TSSM and BTAS achieved.

we should let others know just how "brillant" this show is!

Oooooooooooooh, I get it now! I thought you had laughed in a "Yeah, obviously" manner. :woot:

On it, I've already tolled my friends how great this show is and they've already started to give this show a chance. My family doesn't really watch cartoons or read comics so its a nope from them. I'm the only one in my family who reads and watches this stuff, oh joy :o

Well any ways I'm trying as much as possible to spread the word. I understand the other show had a much more comic book feeling to it, I get that. Its just for me, well the animation some times, it can matter. I tried giving the 90's show a big chance, I did. I am a big Spider-Man fan but the animation hurt my eyes :csad:
That's why I like this show better, while the modles are off some what, you can see it much better than you could the 90's one.

the animation is amazing but let's be honest here, there is no a lot of detail in the characters. you have to make a choice; detail or movement you can't have both unless a) you hve a big budget (DC animated movies) b) you reuse a lot of footage (90's spider-man). before anyone mentions BTAS/JL, those were pretty spartan with detail as well.

Who cares about details? I want Spidey to move, swing, jump and kick ass the way he should - just like in SSM. Iits not nessecery every musle on his body to pop out. This goes for the villains too. The way Green Goblin flies in this show is just awesome - the freedom, the fluidility.

For me the only reason to watch the 90's series now is to see Hobgoblin. Venom looks like crap, Octopus looks like crap, Mary Jane is annoying, and I just want to crush Madame Web's spine.

I personally just enjoy the traditional comic look more, and while I know it would cost too much money, I would love to see a cartoon that includes the detail and still has the fantastic fluid movement.

And while I agree that the 90's TAS had many faults, you have to give it props for giving us the first fleshed out Eddie Brock. It's take on the Symbiote saga is what people have been using for every incarnation of the character since then.

^I'm not denying this. They really gave Eddie proper motivations.

Just watched today the 1st season all at once. 13 episodes straight behind each other. Just love the show, great dialogue, script, caracter development, humour! Looking forward to season 2, will watch it soon. Didn't know that much about Spider-Man except for the movies, great villains (espeacially Green Goblin and Venom). Steve Blum (also Wolverine in Hulk Vs and Wolverine & the X-Men) was a great voice cast for GG. Great introduction for the Sinister Six, can't wait to see a Vulture/Electro/Rhino/Lizard in a live-action adaption.
