Roddy Strong goes to ****ing work. Love the guy. Great addition for any company.

The mismanagement of TNA will make a interesting documentary one day.

**sigh** He could never get it through his head, could he? Not that weed is bad, but you need to be really careful about any kind of recreational drugs in Eastern Asia, for legal reasons.

It gets better.

TNA’s financial issues are even more dire than previously thought, as unlikely as that may sound. We already knew that there are multiple lawsuits pending, a restraining order believed to be designed to stop the company from selling shares again, a dispute over music rights, and debt owed to various entities who funded the recent tapings. Yet there is still plenty of room for more.

On Friday morning, I confirmed with the Davidson County Register of Deeds that the State of Tennessee issued a tax lien against TNA Entertainment LLC about five weeks ago on September 8th. While the listing for the lien in some online databases has the debt recorded as “$0,” that is because some public record search companies misread the Register of Deeds not recording the amount of the lien.

Essentially, what this means is that TNA owes a lot of taxes to the state of Tennessee, to the point that the state now has the right to seize TNA property if the debt is not repaid. While the wrestling company is now operating under the newer Impact Ventures LLC company that was formed this year, Tennessee tax law covers successor companies. If someone actually buys the company, potential scenarios include TNA/majority owner Dixie Carter having to take a lower sale price so as to pay off the lien, or the new owners risking the scenario where Tennessee goes after them for the tax liability.

It’s up to the state whether or not to assert its rights and start seizing assets from TNA. While the restructuring as Impact Ventures LLC increases the distance from the original debt and thus requires more work by the state to collect, it can still do so. Tennessee would just have to assess a lien against Impact Ventures and, if it got that far, a buyer as well. However, the state cannot go after a successor for more than the purchase price.

In related news, F4WOnline is reporting this weekend is a pay period in TNA, and talent pay is due for the last set of TV tapings. As noted, TNA did receive funding for the uplink and production of the Bound for Glory PPV as well as the subsequent television tapings, but it remains unclear if the money was enough to pay the talent through the end of the year. Meltzer noted that not paying the talent would breach their contracts, and he knows that “a couple of guys” are ready to declare themselves free agents next week if they do not get paid this weekend.

If this was GTA, she's at 5 stars. This is God level fu**ery!

I've never been the biggest TNA fan but this entire situation is so saddening. The absurd amount of stubbornness is going to lead to so many people being unemployed. At this point, it seems like they need somewhere between an 11th hour deal or a miracle.

Does Ted Turner still want a wrestling company?

So is Mickie's return a one time thing?

Also, the debut of Roderick Strong in NXT continues the trend of them signing Indie guys and allowing those Indy guys to keep their names. Now that won't happen to all Indie guys they sign, but it's been a trend recently: Samoa Joe, Austin Aires, AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Eric Young, all of the Cruiserweight guys that they've signed and now Roderick Strong. it makes me think that if they ever sign Adam Cole or Jay Lethal that both would get to keep their names as well.

Exclusive: Tennessee Strikes Back At TNA to Collect Unpaid Taxes

None of the guys you mentioned are from the indies. TNA and ROH are both subsidiaries of billion dollar corporations; that means they can't be indies by definition.

And they're also major, national promotions.

Guys coming from actual indie promotions are still getting their names changed. See Biff Busick/Oney Lorcan and Manny Garcia/No Way Jose.

ROH was an Indie promotion when I watched it a decade ago.

Keyword being "was."

Versus ten years ago they're running 5X as many shows, drawing 4X as many fans, working with bigger international promotions (NJPW and CMLL versus Japanese indies like Wrestle-1), touring new markets (Western and Southern US, Japan, Canada, UK), signing wrestlers to exclusive deals, running 8+ live PPVs on both the internet and TV, running a TV show that is available both nationally and world wide, etc.

ROH is what it looks like when a promotion grows from an indie to a major national promotion organically.

The reason WWE is letting ROH/TNA/NJPW guys keep their names now is because WWE sees that their names have value. These wrestlers have fans, and they're specifically the kind of fans WWE has been targeting with endeavors like NXT, CWC, etc.

We can thank Helmsley for that otherwise the It Factor would've been Bob Rooski and the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived would've been Healy Dan instead due to McMahon wanting to brand them.

So is Mickie's return a one time thing?

For now though more working dates have been discussed. James working with the four Horsewomen would be sweet!

I'd still rather have the good talent in a better promotion like ROH, LU, or NJPW.

HHH is better than Vince McMahon (or any of the clowns running TNA) but he's still putting out a product that isn't half as good as it ought to be considering WWE's talent, resources, experience, and platform.

Or a mismanaged documentary. TNA's death is like Homer falling down the cliff, it just goes on and on and on. It's been this way for years and I fear a doc or book will be very taxing on me to sit through / read.

WWE remembered to upload old Smackdown episodes starting with 2004!

I would freak out so ****ing badly if by random I just bumped into Undertaker in a ****ing Starbucks.

If I managed that Starbucks I'd play his entrance music every time he came in.

This picture is weird as hell.
I mean you can see that the woman has a broken leg so this crutches probably belong to her...but still.
How do you approach such a picture?
"Um excuse me mister Undertaker, can i take a picture with you while you are holding my Crutches?"

But he sure looks healthier then in other pictures we have seen over the years.

I met John Morrison once. I asked him to hold my Melina action figure and act like it was destroying his career.
