Dixie is talking about the TV tapings on Twitter as if they're going to happen, so that sounds like a good sign.

Then again, Dixie has a habit of hyping up stuff on Twitter that turns out to be really disappointing.

We'll just have to wait and see, but things are looking more positive right now than they were at this time yesterday.

BFG will be their last show then or somehow they found a way to survive again?

We just have to find another alt rocker from the 1990s who wants to buy a wrestling company. Hey, Veruca Salt just got back together, maybe they can be the new TNA commissioners.

TNA is almost like a ponzi scheme at this point. You'll make an investment and never see your return.

I'd rather have WWE just buy them out than see Corgan go broke.

Corgan at least has some history in the business.

He co-founded and owned Resistance Pro, an indie promotion, from 2011-2014 and they're still in operation as far as I know. And he's been involved in TNA creative for over a year. He even did a few angles for ECW and AAA back in the day. Not saying that necessarily qualifies him to own a major national promotion, but at least he's not a total novice. He's been fronting money for Impact tapings for months now, which is how he ended up a minority owner. He knows what he's getting himself into; he sees the books. Whether he'll be able to do anything about it is another story, but he can't do worse than Dixie Carter has.

I don't mean to make light of Noble's situation at all and I hope he's well, but how does a guy like that still live in a trailer park?

He was in WCW from 1999-2001, WWE from 2001-2004, ROH and NJPW from 2004-2005, and then WWE again since 2005. He was a backstage producer for five years of that span, but it still blows my mind that someone who has essentially been wrestling on TV for 17 straight years and has been in WWE continuously for 11 could still live in a trailer park. It's not like he's been touring the low end indies.

At the airport right now, got a 5 hour flight ahead of me. Ugh! Before I came here, I went to go meet this Guy again:

He said his favorite match was against Punk at Hell In The Cell 2012.

He thought it was cool I remember him saying "I still got it!" after getting a dead crowd to loudly chant "Feed Me More!" in the middle of a tag team match he had during his time with Hennig. He enjoyed sticking it to officials in subtle ways whenever he got a chance.

He wore the cowboy hat everywhere when he was in The Nexus.

His upcoming book will be a motivational one. His next one will be his autobiography.

Focusing on his supplement line when he's not wrestling.

Wants to be the spokesman of El Pollo Loco since WWE wouldn't let him.

Will eventually have guests on his Podcast.

He doesn't want to sign any contracts from other wrestling companies.

He took his time talking to each fan during his 3 hour signing. About a 200 fan turnout.

Vince is going to show up on BFG via satellite.

That's what I was thinking. Either him and/or Hunter will make a surprise appearance since Carter is doing another one of her "major announcements."

Even Cornette says Corgan has a great mind for the buisness.

I mean, the ball is in her court. If she was selling to WWE, she wouldn't hype the TV tapings. So I take it as a good sign.

I really hope this is it for TNA. But somehow they always managed to survive before.

Dixie Carter is a moron with no credibility. She always teases stuff on Twitter which never delivers. She is the girl who cried wolf - people gave up listening to her a long time ago. She is a dud on Twitter: dating back to the time her account was suspended for pretending to be verified on it - she is an utter embarrassment.

RE the TNA going out of business issue itself: I hope they do go under.

The best thing that could happen to me for my viewing pleasure is seeing the WWE rip the **** out of them in a documentary. Dixie Carter is something else, she has fumbled so badly for so long she really is in a league of her own when it comes to wrestle crap. I gave up on TNA like 6 years ago, I see bits on YouTube from time to time and it's embarrassing. A cruddy little roster performing in front of very few fans in darkened arenas and knowing about the people not getting paid issues, man, they are just an utter joke.

Honestly up until about 2010 or so, I preferred TNA to WWE. They had guys like AJ, and Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels, etc. They gave Raven and Rhyno career boosts after they were badly underused in WWE, and Christian got the main even push that he should have gotten years before as well. They even used Sting and Kurt Angle well overall I think. And theirs Women's Division made WWE's look like a complete joke by comparison. Also given a lot of the decisions that they've made over the years, and even recently, Vince and co are pretty much the last people who should be trashing oth promotions for making bad decisions.

One of the worst things to happen to the North American pro wrestling market imo, was the Monday Night Wars ending. WCW presenting a legitimate challenge, and even ECW trying new and innovate ideas/pushing the envelope, force WWF to try new stuff as well, which is how we got the Attitude Era and subsequent boom.

After Vince became the dominant guy in the business, he seems to have doubled-down on "my way is the right way, everything that I do works and I'm sticking to it." So the product has stagnated and we get the same repetitive stuff over and over and over again. Because he has no incentive to change as no one can even remotely challenge him.

The only real benefit to WWE getting TNA imo, would be that they could stop pretending like AJ Styles, or Sting, or Kurt Angle, or The Dudley's, or Christian's, etc accomplishments in TNA never happened (which has gotten really ludicrous). We can have those guy's COMPLETE careers acknowledged now.

They perform in front of about as many people as NXT or ROH, and their roster is about as solid as anywhere else -- Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, Drew Galloway, DJZ, EC3, James Storm, Eli Drake, Mark Andrews, Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett, Rockstar Spud, Mike Bennett, Moose, Decay, Hardys, Lashley, Bram, etc... -- only a moron would think that is a crummy roster. But you haven't actually watched the show in six years, so what do you know.

And for an utter joke, they have been putting on better shows and booking talent better than either WWE or ROH for the last year. It's some straight-up sociopathic ****, wanting a company to go under. Less alternatives out there is the worst thing for the wrestling business.

Eh, it's usually not wise to acknowledge your competition regardless of what industry you are in. Point being, you don't want people knowing there's an alternative.

Except that he acknowledged the existence of WCW back in the day, and he cross-promoted ECW. He's even let guys reference/name-drop ROH and NJPW recently.

So it's JUST TNA that he's obsessed with not acknowledging and it sticks out like a sore thumb (also plenty of industries acknowledge their competition at least a little, because they're smart enough to realize that many people already know about said competition in this media age. So pretending like they don't, is pointless). Plus it leaves big holes in the resumes of guys like AJ, and Sting, and Christian, etc as well.

They are easing up on that, the last Dudley Boyz DVD, they actually had a short segment on Bubba's time as Bully Ray in TNA, not to mention AJ on the SCSA Podcast. And they have been acknowledging AJ's stint as NWA World Heavyweight Champion, which was under TNA.

Sting was just ludicrous. Though, it did lead to a hilarious moment where Ric Flair called out the WWE on that narrative BS, causing Booker T and Michael Cole to become uncomfortable and change the subject.

What is it with people either calling it a **** show or acting like its way above the WWE or ROH...its both idiotic...only a moron would think either.

By now, TNA is far from the garbage it once was...its a decent if not good show...thats it.
Corgan has some nice ideas, the booking and wrestling overall is alright.

But Dixie Carter did everything wrong and tainted the name TNA.
People left and right try and tried to fix what she has messed up.
Trying to start a rating war with WWE...even thinking about it, was stupid.

Personally i really hope that Corgan buys the company and completely reboots it.
The roster is really good and you can build up a good League with it...nothing that is even close to compete with the WWE, but one that can live.

As noted, Bound For Glory will be proceeding as scheduled this Sunday, as are next week's television tapings in Orlando.

According to the New York Post, an "unidentified third party" paid the advance for the shows. TNA President Billy Corgan also commented on the pay-per-view proceeding this Sunday.
"It's a go, as far as I've been told," Corgan said.

Nothing has changed regarding the ownership of the company. The Post noted that "WWE and Corgan are expected to resume talks about a change in Impact ownership after the weekend's broadcast." It was noted once again that WWE would just purchase the company's video library and shut it down if they were to reach an agreement.

I'm at an Indy show in Norfolk with Matt Riddle and Colby Corino on the card

Jimmy Havoc knows what's up.

This should get them squared away at least through December.

Hopefully that's enough time to get the company sold to someone who isn't just going to gut it.
