Be true to yourself. Be true to your country. Be a Real American!

He said his favorite matches were Vs. Andre at Wrestlemania III and Sting at Starrcade 1997.

He was supposed to sign for 3 hours, but there were so many fans that came to his store (I'd say between 400- 500), he stayed an extra hour to take care of everybody so I didn't get much face time with him due to the rush, but I thanked him again for making me the wrestling fan I am today.

Bushwhacker Luke Williams, Sirelda, and Mercedes Martinez were there.

As he was leaving, a fan with a replica of the Big Gold Belt and his own can of black spray paint asked to put the nWo letters on it so he did!

His beach shop is nice. I'd go broke from buying all the merchandise that was available for sale.

If you want to remember why you ever loved WWE then just watch 2000. I think I could write a song about how much I love 2000 WWE.

2000 through the first half of 2001 is such a great period. One of my favorite. A great blend of everything I love about wrestling. Even the stuff that usually annoys me didn't during that time. The only bummer was Wrestlemania 2000 imo, and even that had its moments.

You mean WWF.

I understand why they had to change the name, but I really hate the name World Wrestling Entertainment. Its name should sound like a sports league, not a multimedia conglomerate (which is what they really are, but still).

It's a silly thing to be hung up on but it still bugs me all these years later.

.

I don't like the persona or the man behind it, but I've never heard a story of a bad fan encounter. He loves his fanbase, and that's admirable. I also have to give him credit for staying in shape at his age. Most men over 60 either have the big granddad gut or they're skin-and-bones, but he's still staying true to what made him famous.

Bruno Sammartino is in his 80's now, and he looks great for his age. As for Hogan, a guy that I know happened to be staying with his family at the same hotel resort that Hogan was. And he said that Hogan had no problem coming down and spending time hanging out with the kids, signing things, calling them the "little Hulkamaniacs," and just being very pleasant and nice in-general.

It seems like most of the issues with Hogan are more about his ego in his professional life, and his wanting to hold onto a top spot at all costs (even at the expense of younger talent who deserved a push), rather than him being a jerk to the fans.

They perform in front of about as many people as NXT or ROH, and their roster is about as solid as anywhere else -- Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, Drew Galloway, DJZ, EC3, James Storm, Eli Drake, Mark Andrews, Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett, Rockstar Spud, Mike Bennett, Moose, Decay, Hardys, Lashley, Bram, etc... -- only a moron would think that is a crummy roster. But you haven't actually watched the show in six years, so what do you know.

And for an utter joke, they have been putting on better shows and booking talent better than either WWE or ROH for the last year. It's some straight-up sociopathic ****, wanting a company to go under. Less alternatives out there is the worst thing for the wrestling business.

Yeah, I mean I get all the Dixie hate, but it could never be a good thing to see something go under that many people are relying on for their livelihood.

As you say that's a pretty damn good roster.....and only a select few would survive WWE absorbing TNA. I honestly hope someone else can save the day because if it's Vince, a lot of people are ****ed.

i just wish it would be over with im getting sick of hearing about ohh its sold, no its not, ohh its a new buyer ohh dixie says theyre fine. its bordering on pantomime

I usually refer to the company in that time period as WWF. You caught me in an odd moment where I used WWE haha.

Uh, when is the last time you watched the WWE? They are loaded with talent. Like the show or not, the talent is crazy and far surpasses TNA's on paper at the very least. And considering they are letting the likes of Owens, Styles, Joe, Nakamura, Zayn, and others do their thing, it is showing. Same with the women.

Mark Andrews....hahaha. Anyway, I wish TNA the best and hope they stick around. Their show is not bad. It's no Lucha Underground but it's getting better.

Never want to see anyone lose their job. So while I would love for this yearly saga to end, that isn't nearly as important as TNA keeping people employed.

It ain't called the World Wrestling Entertainment no more. It's just WWE now.

TNA has to dig itself out of hole in terms of it's perception. The reason so many fans wish ill on the company is because they've been legitimately burned by TNA in the past. There was a time that TNA had a solid following and even those that weren't die hard fans of the promotion wanted to see it succeed. TNA pissed all that goodwill away over the course of years. Hell, there are people that are STILL pissed off about Victory Road 2011.

TNA needs to learn fear again. And make the climb, without the rope.

What they need to do is publicly dump John Gaburick, Dixie Carter, and Bob Ryder and then completely rebrand.

Russo, Hogan, and Bischoff did most of the damage but the trio above is the reason they've never recovered.

You are so on the money here.

WWE Tough Enough came back in the summer of 2015 on the USA Network. WWE fans were instantly interested because Tough Enough used to be a great show on MTV years ago, during a much more young adult/adult period in WWE history. WWE did bring the same show back in 2011, but it just didn’t work, mainly because it felt like WWE was not allowing for fans to choose and they went who with they wanted to win — which ended up being a guy already signed to the WWE!

This meant a new format had to be added when it returned. WWE was going to do a live broadcast each week with a three-person judging panel. One legend, and two active performers, one male and one female. The legend was Hulk Hogan, and the two stars used were Paige and Daniel Bryan. When Hogan got into a bit of trouble due to some racial comments that got out, he was replaced with The Miz, who ended up making “questionable” decisions.
People were put in the bottom three each week, and fans would vote live to see who went home and who stayed. It was a good format for the most part, but certainly had its problems. This is why USA didn’t choose to bring it back. However, two winners came out of this who had some promise. One being Josh “The Yeti” Bredl as the male winner and the other was Sara Lee, the female winner. As part of the win, both earned a $250,000 WWE contract.

Clearly, WWE wanted some to win and some not to. WWE wanted Mandy Rose to win the female spot, but they were very happy when Josh won the male spot, as ZZ was one guy that fans loved but WWE knew didn’t have what it took to succeed. He was still given a deal to see, but it wasn’t as lucrative. He was released this year, and now it appears Sara Lee has been, too.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Sara Lee was notified on Friday that she was released from her WWE contract. This is a little over a year after she signed her big deal with WWE. She had made her in-ring NXT debut earlier this year, and she showed a lot of promise due to what WWE expected versus what she gave. She ended up gaining a lot of muscle and getting into insane shape.

Apparently, WWE didn’t feel right about keeping her on, but it may not have been anything to do with what she showed them in her developmental training. A picture was recently released by Sara Lee that indicated that she was pregnant. In the picture below, you can see her holding up a book about “expecting” and an additional family member on top of a May, 2017, due date.

She is currently in a relationship with former NXT Tag Team Champion Wesley Blake. The two will have a new member to the family in May, which by our count is seven months from now, and she very well could have found out in the last month. WWE may have felt that she was not worth keeping around for now and as a new mom, she would need to be kept away from the WWE for a while.

With WWE never truly liking Sara Lee and wanting Mandy Rose to end up as the winner, it does make sense that they would not wait for her to get back into training. WWE also feels, in some ways, it is irresponsible for things like this to occur with their female talent. For someone like Kharma, who managed to also get pregnant in her initial run with WWE, she at least had experience on her side. WWE also felt they would do business with her again, so letting her go only to bring her back later was an option for sure.

She chose to leave WWE, which was why her contract was terminated long ago. She ended up sadly having a miscarriage, which led to some depression issues and things of that nature. So it did make some sense that she needed time away. Obviously, Sara Lee did not have all of this on her side with the WWE. She very well could have asked for her release and was called to have it granted to her. However, it does seem like WWE just needed a reason to release her and finally had one. We shall see what comes from this.

O.K. now! Who's watching TNA Bound For Glory?

Genuinely great promo package for Decay vs. Hardys.
