Nope Hogan was the worst at putting people over. He tapped to Angle though :D

Don't forget about Stone Cold

Austin and Hogan fall into the same category to me,they both were characters that cpatalised on a certain era in Wrestling an made that era there own and are possibly the 2 biggest names ever, yet neither had much actual talent in the ring so for me they will always be elow the likes of Flair and HBK

Oh i'm not doubting Hogans popularity or ability to get fans into the arena but he also conned an manipulated his way over more bodies than anyone in history,I'm just saying HHH is more of a team player than Hogan when it comes to gettting guys over,i mean no way would Hogan in his prime have tapped to Benoit at WM

Yeah, that's true. I'm not saying Hogan was a complete ******* backstage. I mean he definitely was. I mean just looking at the list of wrestlers he refused to go over is simply staggering. And he helps to elevate his friends much more than Triple H does. Remember when he first came to WCW and he brought in all his buddies like Hacksaw Jim DUggan and Brutus Beefcake?

That's exactly it. They don't seem to have confidence in him to really carry Raw. And that's a sad thing cause Batista's title reign might end up exactly like Orton's.....

well my biggesst problem with both of them is that neither are anywhere near being the best on their resopective roster so they always feel like champs built purely on popularity

Didn't Austin use to have wrestling talent? I recall him being a pretty good worker back in WCW with Brian Pillman

I agree but both knew how to get the crowd going which is important. That's why i love Flair so much he could get the crowd going and he could wrestle. HBK was my favorite after Hogan left. Now that right belongs to Christian. Also The Undertaker should be mentioned as someone who won't put people over.

yeah and got guys fired that wern't in his inner cirlce,he also made sure that if anyone looked like being a quality star he kept them down,.Guys like Y2J,Benoit and Eddie all were treated like crap cos of him and in his old WWF days he kept guys like Steamboat and Rude down

The Badass gimmick was slightly better than the Deadman gimmick with that though.

But you got to give undertaker props for at least feuding with some of the crappiest wrestlers the WWF's had

yeah back in his hollywodd blonde days he actually wrestled but when the Texas Rattlesnake character was invented he degenerated into nothing but a punch kick stunner guy

Not to mention Randy Savage. Guy had to win the title in a tournament, one in which Hogan got disqualified from early on, and lose it to the Hulkster the very next year.

And there's Bret Hart as well.....Wrestlemania 9  :(

That could have a lot to do with his neck. I don't think he was ever the same after Owen piledrived him all wrong.....

hunter rider said:
yeah but he was well past his prime then

I know but it's the only time in his career he tapped, lets not forget he refused to wrestle Bret Hart back then.

yeah he also put Austin over in MSG atSS 98 and Lesnar over in hell in a cell iat No mercy 2002.Taker has always had class when it comes to being a pro,Your right though the badass gimmick was better for getting guys over,in fact i think it was just plain better for this day and age

well 'Taker has them knda mixed now he's like the dead badass

I remember when Cena started out, his wrestling style shared a lot of similarities with Sting. Now Shelton Benjamin is using a lot of Sting's moves. Man I'd love to see Sting vs Triple H.

Yep. That's why I was a bit disappointed he went back to Deadman at WM 20. I'm hoping he goes back to that after he comes back from injury....

Welcome to Hype! trombonemaestro Sting has very recently said he's once again having preliminary talks with Vince McMahnon

aghhhh WM9 pissed me off beyond belief,it was the damn cheesiest thing ive ever seen,Hogan used Savage plain and simple, hulkamania had been running as champion for 4 and a half years so what Hogan did was let savage become champ in a cheap tournement that he helped him win as well and stayed and hogged the clebration afterwards,Then he made him tag with him as the Mega powers at Subsequent PPV's so He could stay in the spotlight before having vince turn savage heel for the WM5 main event:down

True but what i was meaning was that in his prime Hogan only once ever let anyone go over against him and that was at WM6,Letting Angle win at that stage in his career wasnt the gesture letting Rick Rude beat him in 1990 wouldve been
