It's STILL Real To Me Dammit! The Wrestling Thread

I don't mind what Miz does in the ring for the most part. They time I really didn't like it was when he was working with Edge on RAW last week. Like watching a match in slow motion. I know Miz needs to be helped along in the ring, but I feel as the overall package he's the better wrestler. Okay, perhaps I should say, better Superstar. Use the correct terminology here.

Miz is a decent heel character-wise, promos are way below other top heels but irritating enough to serve their purpose, but even for a chicken**** heel I just don't buy him as a World champion as he never looks like he belongs in there with the top guys, he for me is a classic mid card heel mlike Jeff Jarrett.

I keep seeing that commercial, and I want to try Stev- I mean, Snickers Peanut Butter.

pretty obvious that it's the undertaker, that was his symbol on the cabin door, no? also the Johnny Cash song

I haven't seen the Rumble yet, so I've no comments on that yet. No real interest to find it, either.

By the middle the Rumble match itself isn't even worth watching. I'd say don't waste your time, dude.

When Double J's daddy didn't even have much faith in his main event act in WCW it may be time to rethink things

The way this year's WrestleMania is looking so far, I don't think I want to dvd, and I have all 26 so far. Hate to break the list because booking is ****.

You beat me, I stopped after 25, I think I am also missing Wrestlemania 2000.

They need every draw they can at this point. Miz ain't cutting it. :funny: It wouldn't be anything mind blowing but as long as he didn't take up a lot of time I'd enjoy it.

I get the feeling way too much fuss would be about him, simply distracting from everyone else.

agreed...there are belt holders and there are champions

Miz is a belt holder

I've always wanted to really like him, did for a bit when he was TNA/NWA champ, but just never got over the hump to mega star IMO

you didn't even know what TNA was back then don't jump on the bandwagon now :cmad:

That glorious 21 disc box set is the only reason I really got the others ones on dvd. Had them all on tapes I made, but hell, the dvds have the Hall of Fame ceremonies. Those are nice bonuses.

I had a hot box back in college, was able to watch the weekly PPVs

the days of S.E.X, the formation of Triple X....actually one of my favorite wrestling matches of all time was Daniels, Skipper, and Low-Ki against Amazing Red and the SATs

Sadly they will never have a match of the quality again. The SATs are the FATs now, and one even "retired". Joel just keeps getting bigger. :(

Didn't even recognize them after seeing them for the first time years last March.

Somebody tell the Miz the difference between he and Lawler is that Lawler could at least work a little and looked like a top guy in Memphis.

Wish I had the old OLD vhs tapes I used to rent as the kid. Some of the new music on the Erestlemania boxsets annoyed me a little.

And yet that belt holder is taking the top heel in the companies spot at Mania.

Ah you got that anthology set?

It was that match that made me believe that TNA could provide proper competition for the WWE

it's why I'm so sad now that TNA has basically become WCW mark 2

Bwahaha, it's Shane McMahon beating Orton and Legacy all over again. :funny:

Ah you got that anthology set?
Yeah. Surprised the **** out of me when it was handed to me one night. No matter the edits, it's worth it to experience all those matches I grew up with again.

I smell tag match!

They'll probably show it again marx, but it was basically just a shot of the house...then the door swings open like a ghost did it, and the boots and trenchcoat dude is there...and Johnny Cash is playing in the background, and then the dates comes on the left of the screen.

Like I said, it's "The Last Outlaw" Undertaker gimmick starting...

Well...he's already had an 'outlaw' type of gimmick. I'd say it was the transition between 'BikerTaker' and the current version. Basically Wrestlemania XX...

Well, they are going to start calling him that...so I would expect some western and country type stuff in his promos...Johnny Cash being THE Outlaw country act...

I think Cole just made the lamest heel call of his career.

Not really though as Orton was supposed to be a killer and bluechip athlete, Miz is essentially a small guy who is annoying.

Why are there edits except the blurring of the WWF attitude logo?

Yes! and a solid one so far, Riley is better on the mic than Miz IMO.

What did A-Ri call Daniel Bryan? I missed it...

He's a world champion getting punished by a part-time announcer/retired wrestler. That almost balances out the killer comparison. :funny:

******** over music rights, if I recall. I don't know of any other edits, none that I noticed. But I did skip a match or two on some dvds.

a lot of the music has been replaced

I think he'll got back to something a little more similar to that.
