Shamrock? I wish, but it's not happening. Chances are that it'll be Angle vs. Guerrero at WrestleMania XX...

I heard two conflicting rumours. the first rumour is the one we want to be true, that WWE officials finally feel it's Benoit's time for a title run, and since Triple H is going away to Hollywood, they felt he would be the perfect replacement.

But the other rumour I've heard is very negative. Apparently, Triple H and Shawn Michaels ego's have gotten to a stalemate, so neither one will job to the other. So Triple H wants Benoit brought in for two reasons. Firstly, since he is such a great wrestler, he will be able to make Triple H look good in the ring. Secondly, he'll be a guy who Triple H can consistently beat and never lose to while Shawn Michaels is allowed to look strong as the top face on Raw.

I hate that notion. If Benoit loses to Triple H at WMXX I'm never watching Raw again. Cripple H can't draw flies.

And Steiner a no talent hack???? Where have you been in the last 10-15 years. Yeah I understand his better years are behind him but I wish he were the top heel on Raw. He's gotten beyond his ring rust but I still enjoy his mic spots. I guess we'll never see his WCW heel reputation when he went on his title run a few years back.

Yes, Steiner is a no talent hack, once he hit the steroids he lost it. And you actually enjoy is mic work? God his shtick is one of the most annoying i've heard "My freaks and my peaks".....The top heels on Raw should be Jericho and Kane.

The only reason they are turning Jericho into a babyface is because he was more over as a heel than Triple H, and Triple H was feeling intimidated that his status as the main heel on Raw was being threatened.

Agreed. Jericho is witty, charismatic and he does the little things that make him a good heel. All HHH does is sound constipated, I swear one good dump and that voice will just cease to exist. Plus HHH needs an entire faction to make him a heel. Jericho only needs himself.

Hi Guys if u like Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero u should try and get some AAA Tapes from 93 to 96 rey was even better then and Guerrero was fantastic with one of the best heel's ever Art barr in Los Gringos Loco's superb.

He's been with NWA/TNA. The rumors that he'd sign with the WWE were just that: rumors. From what I understand, they were discussing it but could'nt come to an agreement. So off he went to the next promotion in line...

The best wrestling in America is, without a shadow of a soubt, Ring Of Honor. But WWE's the most accessible wrestling product out there.

Okay that was a random comment. Let's think of something else to discuss.

Did you notice that, in the Royal Rumble, Randy Orton and John Cena were kept apart, with Orton gone before Cena made his entrance. Do you think the WWE are going to keep these guys apart for as long as possible? Then, in the future when they've both become big stars - Cena the top babyface on Smackdown and Orton the top heel on Raw - they'll face each other in a Wrestlemania dream match.

i read a post on www. comingsoon.net saying that the wwe shuld jettison the brand extension storyline and go back to having all the superstars on both shows what do you think me i agree with dumping the exension

The good things about the extension is that lesser known wrestlers are getting a chance, if the brand extension is dropped then these wrestlers won't get a chance. I say keep the brand extension, it seems to be working out quite well,IMO.

Yeah, if the brand extension did'nt happen you can bet we would'nt have guys like Cena, Orton, and a few other of the younger stars around or in the position they're in. The same can be said about guys who are finally getting airtime...

So does anyone in this thread watch anything OTHER than the WWE?

I stopped watching WWE a long time ago. Only time I watch it now is a PPV at Hooters because I won't pay forty bucks for two hours of pure crap.

I watch NWA:TNA every Wednsday, and various tapes of Ring of Honor and Combat Zone Wrestling, and various Japan feds.

World League Wrestling has shows on PAX I think, and Lucha Libre has a show at 3pm Central Time on Sundays one of those Mexican channels, so WWE isn't the only wrestling on basic cable.

There used to be a promotion that had Booker T, Buff Bagwell, Jerry Lynn, and X-Pac in it on a local channel in St. Louis.

If you live on the West Coast, you can get wrestling out there, and if you live on the East Coast, you can get CZW Fake You TV, and if you have the Sunshine Network, you can get MLW Underground (which I think is a network on basic Florida cable), and NWA Wildside in Georgia. There are also many many many various NWA member feds all over the country on local networks.

There are also various indy feds that are on local networks on the East and West Coast.

The WWE is just the biggest and only the hardcore fans know about life outside of the WWE.
