I suppose you're referring to the Triple H/Cena match as the good one...Rey's about as tall as RAW's cable ratings last week, 4.9

I don't care about his height,he is a great worker,the Cena/HHH match doesn't interest me at all

Randy Orton is second rate to me, always has been. He's a Nick Lachey look-alike who didn't stand toe-to-toe w/Triple H, Batista, and Flair when they had Evolution going...and i just think Rey gets too much love!! But i'm sure it'll be entertaining at least.

No problem, just a difference in taste. That's why they've got two rosters on two shows.

Prog, what do you think of Cena?

Orton knows how to play his role,he is the ultimate cocky arrogant heel with bags of talent, when he was in Evolution his IC matches were awesome,Batista on the other hand is very lucky to be where he is on such limited ability

The problem i see with the match isn't nessicarly how it will go in the ring but the fact it is booked all wrong,Cena is dying as a face and putting him in with HHH in a city like Chicago is suicide booking, they should have made a 4-way to protect Cena from the heat

That was probably the best idea they could gone with. Cena is going to get booed relentlessly and they have to know that. I actually thought there might have been something left to his face run, but they turned right back to the same garbage that people are rebelling against now. That match is gonna be ugly and leave a worse taste in WWE's mouth then when they booked Steiner/Triple H.

Yep,they may execute a decent match in the ring but it will be a train wreck when it comes to trying to tell the story as the crowd will be going against what the angle is supposed to be
The fact that this is the biggest show of the year and they still booked a guy that can only get cheers when wrestling Edge is very odd and seems to lean heavily towards HHH wanting to be face Cena one on one

1. Teddy Long pulls off the best suit. That custom suede long coat att NWO was pimp

2.I am cool with Rey in the ME. Everyone seems to focus on how offensive the Eddie thing is. But I don't think anyone has noticed, it's not very good. If it was a fictional character whose death is mocked, it still wouldn't be that interesting.

Anyone else think that with the Saturday Main Event returning, "TNA Impact" will basically become the mad tv to WWE's SNL?

I think it's only a one time special, but I don't think the ratings be nearly anywhere Raw & SD!. If they do a point larger or more than the average iMPACT, it will be a harsh blow to Spike's supossed "optimism" with TNA.

Wow!! This is serious news to me. I may live in the Midwest but I didn't figure I was this far out of the loop?!?!? To be honest I was never a Cena fan in the beginning but I've grown to like as much as anyone today...Maybe b/c I jumped on his bandwagon late, I've failed to notice a demise in popularity?? Will it really be THAT bad, and what is the "garbage that people are rebelling against"? My friends all still dig him a lot.

Are you saying it could end up like the Rock/Hogan at WM? Not as "big" of course, but i mean the crowd swaying? I honestly thought i've been hearing more and more cheers for Triple H during his current rise from recovery. On RAW when he finally won the triple threat match, I could have sworn the crowd was on the fence/cheering for him. Do you see this happening at RM22?

Did you see NYR and the matches with Angle ? he was getting heat that a heel would be prowd of in those matches
Just curious how old are your friends ?

I think that the crowd reaction to HHH when Cena tried to bow up to him on RAW and the crowd backed HHH is what you will see at Mania only much louder as Chicago will be digging a guy like The Game so your spot on very much like Hogan/Rock

I honestly had an untainted image of him until just now. That's interesting, but I couldn't get into his schtick when he ruled SD. Therefore, I watched it much less than RAW whenever he was constantly rapping and plugging this whole whigger image...But I've enjoyed his stint on RAW ever since Summerslam in 05'.

Anybody else notice that ever since Cole and Tazz got pissed at management with JR's deal that their announce table gets broken like every week?

No didn't see NYR but it looked pretty fantastic! Ya know, I've got a bunch of college-aged friends, but the guys I was thinking of are 19 and 22.

Really? Many people, myself included, liked when he rapped during his segments. It helped showcase his intensity and his mic work.

Okay, I hate to go all "hick" again and be out of the loop, but what was the full story w/JR leaving? I just assumed it was b/c he really needed surgery/recovery time or an extended vacation or something?? Not so much I take it?

What i'm saying is a few years ago I was annoyed by it, and it turned me off completely. But now whenever he comes out I've grown to appreciate it like you said, and i look forward to it...catch-22, he doesn't really do it anymore:O

I see,i only asked because from the reports ive read Cena is popular with women and teens but the 18-30 demographic hate him in most arenas

He's got 2 main problems,1 is that he isnt a great worker,he bumps well but for a face his offense is weak
His biggest problem though is his gimmick, every match he is like Superman beating the odds, now that works if you have a ton of cred but he doesn't and a rap character is not a multi demographic character like Austin.Rock or HHH so he will always have trouble getting a good section of the crowd behind him

JR did need the colon op but what left a bad taste was the way he was fired by the McMahon's in an on air segment where the humiliated him

I really can't stand the way Vince McMahon struts around, and the lack of respect he shows everybody, I really wish somebody would put Vince in his place, although that will never happen. I hope Marty doesn't join the Vince McMahon Kiss my A** Club on RAW...

What do you guys think about throwing Rey into the ME at Mania?

Best decision in a real long time, the WWE is atleast letting the fans get something they want for once instead of Vince's ego saying Bull***** with what the fans want, I will tell them that they should cheer, the steroid monsters that I keep producing... and screwing over the little guys like Rey Mysterio. I really hope he walks out with the world strap at WM

Yeah pretty much. If you look to past post (like a couple hundred pages back) he was given a lot of respect when he was the top midcarder, but he still wasn't anything special. Once he won the WWE title, they "Deisel-ed" him out (turned a cool "bad-ass" heel & turn him into a superman who kissees the fan's ass) If you notice when they go to places like New Jersey, New York, Philidelphia, Miami(actually pretty 50/50), Chicago & all of Canada, he geets a lot of boos. That's because even though he was a deacent midcard guy, he is not ready to carry the weight of the business. He started wrestling in 2000, 5 years is not enough time. He's WWE's new failed prospect, but it's definetly not the first. He may be worthy one day, but now he is still not a very good wrestler. Look at Kevin Nash, as Deisel, his WWE title run was discredited by his suddeen change & lack of ability. & a few years later he became the most credible champion WCW had at one point

That's genius, man, and totally accurate! The girls and young guys I know are the ones that like him the best, and I've always found myself disappointed in his lack of offensive diversity. Like, when he finally came up w/a submission manauver to beat Angle, the commentators went crazy to pump that up...but now he whips it out all the time like that's some sort of big deal! Come up w/some other stuff consistently! You're dead on about that, and I fall into the negative male 18-30 demo so I get it.
