Everyone here have their own vision of how a Avengers movie should be handled. Here, whe share those visions and talk about them, make them better, you know... The fan stuff. :woot:

Here's mine:

I Would go for ''The Ultimates 1'' plot, getting out the Hank Beating Jan subplot and adding hints to the Marvel Universe. No Quicksilver and Scarlett Wich, and maybe not even Hawkeye. Add a explanation for the Hulk rampage on N.Y. (Chitauri drugs) and changes the Cap prologue by a Banner chase scene on Rio de Janeiro. Get a hint to Ultron or the Masters of Terror and add some cool FX shots. No Triskelion, go for the SHIELD Helicarier instead (And destroy it!). Tony Star giving his mansion on the big ending. Kleiser and the Chitauri army invasion included!

I would just go back to the first ten or so issues by Lee and Kirby. Have a new villain instead of Loki, and obviously Cap there at the start.

In fact, you know what, I think we all know what this movie is going to be like anyway. Four or five heroes struggling to get on to defeat a huge threat (not Loki), Sam Jackson giving them orders and being a military badass, and they falter and split up because they can't work together. Then finally Captain America gets them to work as a team and they defeat the bad guys.

I'm bored so here is my Avengers movie:

Characters: Iron Man, Ant-Man, Wasp, Hulk, Thor, Captain America

Villains: Baron Helmut Zemo, Baron Von Strucker, HYDRA, Loki.

Supporting characters: Nick Fury, Sharon Carter, Jim Rhodes/War Machine

Plot: The Cosmic Cube, an engineered telipathic device, is being harnessed by HYDRA to manipulate world leaders into doing anything to fulfill their greatest desires. World leaders across the globe are attacking an invading rival countries without logical reason killing innocent civilians. Terrorist cells across the globe increase due to the increased violence. Governments in unstable regions of the world begin collapsing as world leaders are under the manipulation of HYDRA. The film opens with an example of this.

The SHIELD led by Nick Fury believe that there is an engineered device maintained by HYDRA that is responsible for the compulsive military actions and anarchy around the world. The SHIELD discovers that HYDRA is gathering forces and coordinating a massive attack against the Western world but they don't know what exactly. Fury decides to go ahead with the "Avengers Initiative" with the financial aid/support from Iron Man/Tony Stark. Fury promises the public of the greatest superhero fighting force the world has ever seen who together can enforce peace across the globe as a collective group.

Meanwhile, the recently revived Steve Rogers, rehabing and recovering from anterograde amnesia is summoned. Rogers memories of Zemo's war base in WW2 may help track down the son of his former WW2 nemesis. Rogers debriefs SHIELD agent Sharon Carter on whatever he knows and the two develop a romantic bond. Rogers himself is in no condition to fight however.

To get Rogers back into shape, Fury summons the Avengers Hank/Janet Pym and doctor/surgeon Donald Blake (who's secret identity, Thor, is already known to Nick Fury and other Avengers members). Bruce Banner (who is granted immunity but is not a formal Avenger) is also contacted to help develop a growth formula to revitalize Captain America. The formula is tested and ready to go. Blake injects the serum into Rogers and the team waits as Steve recovers. Fury, along with support from Tony Stark, makes an offer to Bruce Banner to join the Avengers but he wants no part of it and leaves. A mole planted by HYDRA in SHIELD headquarters follows Banner shortly there after.

The mole later informs Baron Von Strucker of the Avenger Initiative and the SHIELD's plans to infiltrate their base of operations. Strucker informs Zemo prior to the SHIELD assault on HYDRA's base of operations and Zemo is ready for them. HYDRA agents kill all of the SHIELD agents but spare Sharon Carter, who is taken as a hostage. To deal with the Avengers, Strucker contacts Loki, whom is working along side HYDRA in order to get to Thor. Loki travels to meet up with the mole planted within the SHIELD and informs him of Banner's location. They track Banner down in New York City and Loki manipulates the Hulk into going beserk. Ant-Man, Captain America, and Iron Man go after the Hulk. Thor realizes Loki is behind the Hulk's rampage and tracks Loki down. Once Loki escapes Thor helps the Avengers deal with the Hulk.

Turns out that Loki's ploy was a distraction. Enough time for Baron Von Strucker and additional HYDRA agents already stationed near their enemy's base of operations to invade SHIELD headquarters. Nick Fury is taken hostage. With the help of the Cosmic Cube... Strucker manipulates Fury into announcing that prominent Avengers have went rougue and he orders the military to hunt down and capture Donald Blake, Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Hank/Janet Pym. Meanwhile, Strucker remains in charge of SHIELD headquarters with factions of the US military at his disposal under Nick Fury's "direct orders" through manipulation. Military detainees arrive and attempt to arrest the Avengers but Thor fends them off and the Avengers escape. Stark manages to get a hold of Jim Rhodes who relucatanly permits the Avengers safe passage outside the country. The Avengers decide to track down the source of HYDRA's operations rather than waste time retaking SHIELD headquarters. However, the military tracks down the plane to be used to export the Avengers away from the country, so Banner stays behind to help fend off the military and allow the Avengers to escape. Once their plane takes off, Steve Rogers believes he knows where the Zemo and HYDRA are keeping Sharon Carter and the Cosmic Cube and they proceed to track them down. It is an old fortress used by Zemo's father in WW II. In the meantime, Strucker is gearing up for a nuclear war in which the United States would be duped into thinking their opponents overseas such as Russia and China have launched a preemptive nuclear attacks when in fact the missles were launched by HYDRA. In retaliation, the United States would launch counter attacks on rival countries and global nuclear war would ensue shortly there after.

After locating HYDRA headquarters a massive battle ensues. Loki deals with Thor while Ant-Man and Iron Man clash with enemy military forces. Steve Rogers relays back to the U.S military to send in support but the President chooses not to respond to the Avengers calls due to Nick Fury's orders. The Avengers are outgunned but Jim Rhodes and a rouge faction of the air force shows up to provide support. Rhodes dawns the War Machine armor. The Avengers defeat the HYDRA military agents/Loki and Rogers tracks down and kills Baron Zemo. Sharon Carter is rescued and Nick Fury is once again himself. The Avengers inform the military that the SHIELD has been intruded by HYDRA. The SHIELD headquarters is stormed by US military and Strucker makes for a getaway. Nick Fury and the SHIELD tracks Strucker down. Strucker is injured an can not move but he reveals that a bomb is to go off in several minutes which was planted ahead of time just in case military got wind of the fact the SHIELD headquarters was under the control of HYDRA. Not only that but the two nuclear missles are loose and headed for major US cities. Nick Fury and the remaining SHIELD agents evacuate SHIELD headquarters and Iron Man/War Machine proceed to deal with the nuclear missles. The two of them alter the missles' trajectories and the world is saved from nuclear war. Loki manages to escape with the Cosmic Cube but he is tracked down by Thor and the Cube is destroyed and Loki is defeated by Thor and allowed to return to Asgard. The end....

So FaT_tONle idea is pretty ****ing epic, and he's put much more effort in developing his ideas then I will with mine, but I still like this basic premise.

Because we won't get a Hulk sequel until after the Avengers, if we even do that is, I'd like the Leader to be the villain.

I'm trying to figure out if he is enough of a treat for the likes of a team like the Avengers, but with the right story telling, and an expansion of his powers and intelligence he surely could.

The movie would already be fitting a lot in, and because we've already been familiarized with the Samuel Sterns character we could skip some steps of introducing someone new. They could just pick up with him were he left off on the floor of the lab with his head pulsating and carry on from there.

It be a great nod to the interconnectedness of the Marvel Universe as well.

So the movie might begin by regrouping the avengers, focus on their reactions/interactions with each other, have Fury and shield be more present, be introduced to what the Leaders nutty plan is, the formation of his legion of minions and his telekinetic and mind control powers, the good guys have trouble organizing themselves at first, then they find their rhythm and the most epic battle Marvel has ever known ensues.

This is a very simple frame, but I think something awesome could come from it, and depending on the Leaders minions, they might not have to be developed as fully as others would in order to be satisfying... I'm just trying to consider they'll be half a dozen major characters needing further development and screen time so if we have a half a dozen villains then we might end up with the mess we had in The Last Stand.

As far as I'm concerned The Ultimates are the movie version of the Avengers, So my idea will stick pretty close to it. Though I don't want to have an alien invasion, I just think that wouldn't be right. When need to ground these movies in Earth so it doesn't get crazy or stupid. And I envision a trilogy.

Movie 1:
I really wanted to have the Avengers fighting Hulk as their debut. I figured someone gets a hold of Banner and gathers sample and to ease his track he injects the SS serum temporally creating Grey hulk. And unleashes him. Now I'm not that well versed in Avenger's rogue gallery, most I know of just seems silly and I'm just not knowledgeable to spin them in a cool way, so I was a bit at a loss for who the villain would be and the final battle of the film. But TIH gave me an answer. if they don't make a sequel I would Like Leader to be the villain and the Avengers have to face down a small army of super soldiers. At the end we gets hints that Leader was working for some organization (Hydra) and possible manipulations by Loki. I think the bulk of the movie will be about the characters as a team. Focusing on Cap and Banner.

I see characters being a mix of 616 and UU, I would like Thor to be pretty similar to UU. It creates a great dynamic and helps identify the political aspect I want to bring in later. Plus it just makes sense for Thor as a god to want to make the world a better place, not just hitting "bad guys" but by making a real difference.

Movie 2:
I would like to have Ultron be here, Though I'm not sure how to spin it. I would like Stark to have a hand in his creation, so the movie would focus on him and Pym this time around. I would like to add Hawkeye to the team exactly how he is in UU, it just fits better to have a black ops soldier than some former circus guy. But other than that I don't have a clear idea.

Movie 3:
I want the Grand Theft America arc. I love that story. So Hydra will turn out to be a collection of very black ops organizations from around the world, banned together to combat the common enemy of the US super soldiers. Because really the Avengers would probably be considered the most powerful force on Earth. And they, without govt. backing invade America. Loki of course manipulating everything for WWIII. I don't want to go too political, Instead of Liberators, I'd rename them the "Masters" and I only want Loki and the Colonel to differently be there. Everyone else could be who ever. I just love the duality between Cap and Abdul and their fight. And Loki has to be there seeing as he is pretty essential the Avenger's origin. This movie would focus on Cap and Thor

That's the basics for my idea, I have some more ideas but don't feel like typing them, I just wish I knew more 616 history to infuse more ideas

Why is everyone set on believing the Avengers will purely be Ultimates version, because they happened to take the Ultimate version of Fury?

I wish that piece of **** Universe was never created so new fanboys wouldn't automatically want to have 40 plus years to be disregarded anytime a new franchise begins...

In any scenario it will be an amalgamation of both worlds.

Avengers: Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America

Allies: Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents

Villains: Mandarin, Leader, Loki, and Red Skull

Allies: Ten Rings soldiers, Hulk-ized animals, Asgardian villains, neo-nazi soldiers

Story (in a nutshell): Red Skull, having survived battles with Captain America 60+ years prior, has discovered a Nazi mystical device that is designed to bring the Norse Gods to Earth to serve them (it fits in very well with their Aryan ideology of the Nazis). He uses the device to bring Loki to Earth and keep him "in line". Loki brings with him a host of Asgardian villains and monsters who are eager to wreak havoc on the people of Earth. Red Skull, along with his loyal neo-nazi army, desires to create a global Fourth Reich with him as Furhrer.

Meanwhile rogue mad scientist The Leader has been dealing "hulked up" animals (like the ones in Incredible Hulk) to The Mandarin and the Ten Rings terrorist organization. This unlikely alliance has proven very successful in Mandarin's attempts to reconquer the former Mongol Empire.

The Avengers have been formed by Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. as a means of protecting Earth from the forces of oppression. After a few initial successful scuffles the Avengers begin to make a name for themselves as a vanguard for Freedom and Justice; although some question as to whether or not they are merely the agents of American imperialism.

Red Skull, upon viewing the military successes of the Ten Rings, contacts the Mandarin and offers an alliance to conquer Eurasia and then the world. He has now effectively doubled his army and added the scientific genius of The Leader to his already powerful rank. While the alliance between Red Skull, Loki, Mandarin, and the Leader is uneasy, it is bolstered by their mutual desires for conquest (like the Axis powers during WWII) and their personal hatred for their individual enemies within the Avengers (Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and Hulk).

Now it's up to the Avengers to stop this evil alliance and save the world from tyranny and destruction; while at the same time proving to the world that they are not merely fighting for America's global interests.

I see the Ultimates AS the movie version of the Avengers, its written as a blockbuster movie to bring these old heroes into a contemporary setting
I wish that piece of **** Universe was never created so new fanboys wouldn't automatically want to have 40 plus years to be disregarded anytime a new franchise begins...
And the UU don't disregard 40 years of continuity, they refined it into a contemporary setting (though it all recently has gone to ****). I even said in my post I wish I new more to create a fuller idea
In any scenario it will be an amalgamation of both worlds.
I completely agree, I certainly don't want a shot for shot version. But I love the situations, the characters, the designs, the story. And I would love it if they were certainly inspired by the first two books, because they really are great.

Mandarin and Leader were never prominent Avenger villains... Red Skull was here and there but not really. I am just not a fan of using all the solo villains and have them team up. People cringe at the idea of Sinister Six in Spiderman but now people want the same thing here? If there is any solo villain that should be used it's Loki since he was the reason for the creation of the Avengers. The other villains should be modern updated versions of Avenger villains and not solo villain. That's just how I see it though. Just hold your hopes that there is a TIH 2 and an IM3 and that way we can conclusively flesh out both Mandarin and Loki 100% rather then cramming them in Avengers.

Well that all depends on how many Avengers movies there will be

I've only written the first half of this, just a first draft, and I go into detail with this post. So you've been warned. lol
I would start the movie out Nick Fury walking through the corridors of the Stark Mansion. He enters the lounge with the Avengers (Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man and Wasp) recuperating, severely bruised, after a fight.(It doesn't matter who it's against, preferably Loki or one of his creations) He reprimands them for their lack of teamwork, control, and how they let Hulk demolish half of the city. Video footage is shown on a huge screen behind Fury. Fury says it was a mistake to let Stark take control, now Shield will be running the operation under new leadership. He says a Helicarrier is waiting outside to pick them up. All but Stark leave. He's stands at the window, looking out at the ocean. He goes into an aside and flashback on how they got together. Then it goes into an origin story, mostly made up of Fury and Stark scoping out a team roster, much like the Mighty Avengers 1st issue, but with comedic rejects for the team and whatnot. You find out that SHIELD is the government's way to control and police Domestic "Super-threats", another word for Superhuman activity. They've been researching the Super-Soldier Program on two fronts. The biological half has failed, been only perfected once. They are in the process of searching for that one test subject. However, Fury tells Stark that they have made a breakthrough with robotics, which he calls the wave of the future as far as a Superhuman policeforce. Stark is introduced to Ant-man and his assistant girlfriend, Wasp, who are developing nanotechnology for SHIELD, and the two inventions he's completed: Pym Particles and an advanced AI computer, U.L.T.R.O.N. (Some acronym I haven't thought of yet. Stark makes a joke about SHIELD and they're terrible acronyms). They recruit Donald Blake, a former Doctor from an insane Asylum who is convinced he is the Son of Odin sent to Earth as punishment. Hulk is Stark's recruit, and Fury is against it. But Stark says it'll be his own responsibility.
We come out of the flashback and Stark sighs by the window and follows his teammates to the HeliCarrier.
So the rest of the movie I haven't written completely, but Captain America's body is being unfrozen on the HeliCarrier, he escapes into modern society, much like the Ultimates, he's recovered and made team captain, something Stark resents him for. The whole lack of team work thing and Captain America struggling to establish it is also straight from the Ultimates. Ultron becomes sentient, finishes Hank's work on the super-robots, using one of them as a body, and the rest as his army. He takes over SHIELD's computers and finds a hidden directive, one even above Fury's pay grade. Once the robots were online they were gonna wipe out all Super-humans. Ultron acts on this, being part of his programming and takes over SHIELD. Fury, a group of special SHIELD agents (Agents Dugan, Bridge, Romanoff, Drew, and Barton) and the Avengers fight Ultron and the controlled SHIELD.

Well that all depends on how many Avengers movies there will be

No that has nothing to do with anything. I am just not a fan of villain A,B, C, D from franchise A, B, C, D just deciding to team up one day and destroy the world. I'd be like one of those fan made youtube trailers you see for JLA or Avengers. These villains almost never co-existsed or worked together for an extended period of time in the comics for that matter. How cheezy would it be to adapt something like that in a live action film? If you guys want Masters of Evil that's fine. Skull, Leader, Mandarin, etc would be a heck of a lot better than the lame comic book incarnations of the masters of evil. But I still think it's pretty lame for a bunch of A-list villains to come together and team up for the sole purpose of evil and destruction. Anyways, you get my gist.

As for the movies... there will only be one Avenger movie with this set of heroes IMO. The actors will probably call it quits afterwards and I am assuming they won't recast for quite some time. That said I am not going to cram in as much as I can just because we are only getting one movie. You have to cut characters if you want a compelling film.

The ONLY scenario where I can see something like that working is if they do somehting very similar to the Ultimates volume 2 with the Liberators... an invading force of Asian terrorists led by Mandarin... HYDRA agents led by Baron Zemo/Baron Von Strucker/Red Skull (take your pick), Loki/Asgardian warriors all working together to invade and take over America and is foreign allies. It could be epic but I don't think it would work for a two and a half hour film. Other villains could be actual Liberator villains like Abomination/Crimson Dynamo... Black WIdow as well but I wouldn't make her a villain... is it epic? Sure... but I think it's too much if you ask me.
