As suspected you would make a fine lieutenant. Your father would be very proud of you... Kal-El.​

Superman looks shocked at Darkseid knowing his name.

DARKSEID (CONT'D)
Your expression tells me you weren't aware of my knowing. Maybe Barry's mother should know as well how much she misses him.

FLASH
Wha?

BATMAN
Don't listen! He's probing your minds.

WONDER WOMAN
I think we figured that out.

DARKSEID
What's wrong Diana? Is the Princess of the Amazons feeling guilty leaving her people to join Steve in Man's World?​

Wonder Woman looks angry drawing her sword, ready to strike before Aquaman tries to calm her down.

DARKSEID
I can read each of you like an open book. One of the benefits of being one with the omega effect is to detect those who have met their inevitable demise. Each of you have experienced such loss. From lovers to parents to loss of one's self. I see it. Clear as day.

SUPERMAN
Quiet.

DARKSEID
Oh that's not the inspirational symbol of hope Jor-El would have wanted Kal-El. Where's the rise from the fall. The leading of this primitive planet to its sun.
(grins)

SUPERMAN
(clenching his fist)
Don't you ever utter my father's name.

DARKSEID
You're getting angry. Good. Let your anger guide you and reveal your true strength within. Let it out... Let it go.
​

Superman charges at Darkseid with full force, punching him where he stands. The punch knocking him into a stone wall.

DARKSEID
Good, Kal-El. Use that energy to vanquish me.

​

Superman charges once more before stopping his fist short of Darkseid's face.

SUPERMAN
No.​

Darkseid frowns at his sudden change in attitude.

SUPERMAN (CONT'D)
I refuse to play along with your games. But I should thank you.

DARKSEID
For what?

SUPERMAN
For telling me to let it go...

DARKSEID
How unfortunate...
(eyes glow red)​

Darkseid fires another beam, but Wonder Woman quickly blocks it with her braces. Flash suddenly sends another flurry of punches to the New God. Meanwhile Lex and Bruce are working on fixing Cyborg's cannon.

BATMAN
What's taking so long?

LEX
Patience is a virtue...
(moves wires around)

BATMAN
No, move the other wire.

LEX
Don't patronize me. I've been handling cybernetics much longer than you gallivanting in your cesspool of a city.

CYBORG
Will you two stop bickering!?

Superman quickly fires heat vision at Darkseid while Diana tries to slash away with her sword. Darkseid stomps on the ground causing a small fissure to make Diana to lose her footing and fires an omega beam back at Superman. Superman quickly burrows underground and lifts the ground beneath Darkseid's feet, flipping him over to crush him. The New God then breaks free of the rubble, almost unscathed. Suddenly a small pool of water appears from the crater. Aquaman using his trident, turns the water into a glowing baton.

FLASH
Dude, when could you do that?!

AQUAMAN
I picked it up from a girl I know.
​

Aquaman proceeds to attack Darkseid, using both the baton and trident as melee weapons. Wonder Woman double teams with her sword and shield.

LEX
Almost got it... Damn!

BATMAN
Let me see.

LEX
Fine.

CYBORG
Try moving that coupling there.
​

Batman does so and suddenly the cannon starts glowing.

LEX
Gentlemen, I think we've done it.​

Kind of like a SW and Superman crossover

 

[Lily Adler]

Yes.

As Darkseid dodges Wonder Woman and Aquaman's attacks, The Flash and Superman prepare a long range assault.

FLASH
(on knees)
Ready to load!
(puts arms out)​

Superman pounds the ground and collects piles of rubble and loads it in Flash's arms.

SUPERMAN
Locked and loaded!

FLASH
Ready... Aim...

SUPERMAN
Fire!
​

Flash quickly throws the rubble in near light speed quick succession at Darkseid, distracting the New God. While distracted by the rubble, Wonder Woman uses the opportunity to slash at Darkseid's calf, and Aquaman slams the baton on the side of his head followed by stabbing his left ribs with his trident. Darkseid reels in pain from the multiple assault.

BATMAN
What's taking so long?

LEX
I'm trying to set the coordinates to make sure we send him back to where he came from.

CYBORG
Does that really matter right now?!

Darkseid starts seething with rage as he utters a low ominous growl.

DARKSEID
Enough!
​

Suddenly are large energy wave shocks the four league members into submission.

DARKSEID (CONT'D)
So much potential and instead of accepting my ruling of this world, you resist me. This is what happens when one lacks discipline.
(walks closer to the fallen members)
Imagine how much better this realm would be without the inconvenience of free will hindering progress. Imagine a world where my will were the only one. Life comes with many consequences and like scolded children to a parent most relent and fear them.
(grabs a stalagmite)
Death, anguish, despair, fear... Unlike others, I relish in the awesome power it can bestow because without order and discipline, resides simply chaos. And I cannot allow it for I care far too much.
(readies himself to stab The Flash)
And now you shall feel my compassion in one fatal blow.
​

Suddenly Darkseid is hit by an energy blast.

CYBORG
That sounds nice and all, but I like to think for myself.

DARKSEID
Precisely my point.
​

Diana gets up and readies her lasso as Arthur gets up with his trident. Darkseid focuses his attention on Cyborg with his eyes glowing a familiar shade of crimson. Diana sets her sights towards the New God, while Arthur tosses his trident as it pulsates with electricity.

AQUAMAN
Diana!​

Wonder Woman catches the trident tying it to her lasso into a makeshift harpoon. She leaps into the air throwing the weapon at the distracted god, striking him in his right eye. As he reels from pain, Cyborg readies to fire a boom tube. Superman stirs awake along with The Flash.

SUPERMAN
Everyone fall back!​

Wonder Woman quickly retracts the trident and falls back with the others.

 

[Lily Adler]

As the others fall back, Superman starts to walk towards Darkseid, but Wonder Woman stops him.

WONDER WOMAN
What are you doing?

SUPERMAN
Someone has to make sure he gets through that portal.

WONDER WOMAN
Then let me do it.

SUPERMAN
No. The team needs you, Diana. I'm the captain of this ship and if anyone is going down with it, it outta be me.

FLASH
Why not try another long range attack? Aquaman's trident or Cyborg's rockets?

SUPERMAN
You saw what happened earlier. There's only one thing that can topple him.
(tightens his fists as he moves forward)
Diana, take care of them.

WONDER WOMAN
I will.​

Superman moves forward as Cyborg prepares boom tube. Darkseid sees the oncoming Kryptonian as he covers his right eye.

DARKSEID
So you continue to protect this world that fears you?

SUPERMAN
I and all these good people will protect this world even with our last ounce of breath. We will never stop fighting.

DARKSEID
Then you should have killed me when I gave you the chance. But you don't want to for you believe it will cement the denizens' of this planet fears that you are an unstoppable killing machine.​

Superman stops in front of Darkseid staring at the New God as he speaks.

DARKSEID (CONT'D)
Yes, you don't belong to this world, Kal-El. You belong to a world where you are not feared, but revered. Where you can let go and be celebrated for your brutality and strength. Not a pariah amongst those you consider your own. I can offer you such a paradise. Just join me, and all those fears and preconceptions will go away.

SUPERMAN
No... deal...

DARKSEID
So be it.
(uncovers eye to reveal a large gash and blood slowly trickling)
I knew I shouldn't have been holding back. I guess I was fool to try and turn you.
(eyes start to glow)
Now you shall see the full ferocity of my discipline, Kal-El.

BATMAN
Cyborg, now!​

Cyborg fires the beam and a boom tube is summoned behind Darkseid. The New God turns to see what has transpired.

DARKSEID
What?!​

Superman crouches readying to strike the New God.

SUPERMAN
Now leave my planet!
(tightens fist)
And never come back!​

Superman strikes Darkseid with all his might causing a large rippling sonic boom, creating a huge crater where the two stand. Darkseid flies straight into the boom tube. The boom tube fails to close and instead starts drawing in debris into its vortex.

AQUAMAN
What's happening?

CYBORG
I don't know, it won't stop.

BATMAN
(turns to Lex)
What did you do?!

LEX
I found our initial plan to be rid of one problem to be rather minimalistic in hindsight, so I took a more consequentialistic approach. Kill two birds with one stone.​

The league looks onward as Superman struggles to escape the vortex.

 

[Tg11]

I was bored so sue me:

The Trinity stands as Luthor uses the boom tube to summon the alien he sought after.

DARKSEID
(looks to Superman)
So you are the being who has been so gracious as to subvert your race and world to me.

LEX
No! That would be me...

DARKSEID
(looks to Lex and pauses)
How unfortunate. Such an impudent specimen dares to contact me, and here I thought someone more worthy would have the honor to do so.

LEX
But-but... I summoned you... You...

DARKSEID
Do you dare talk to me? In my presence, slaves are meant to be seen, not heard.​

As Darkseid attempts to strike Lex, Superman blocks his hand in place.

SUPERMAN
(struggles)
I...
(grunts)
...don't think... so.

DARKSEID
Impressive.
(strikes Superman away)
With the needed discipline, you could make a fine lieutenant at my side.
​

With his attention drawn, Wonder Woman takes the opportunity to sneak up on Darkseid and stabs him in the shoulder.

WONDER WOMAN
Leave them alone!

DARKSEID
Such insolence!
​

Darkseid shoots his omega beams from his eyes and strikes Wonder Woman!

BATMAN
Diana!​

Darkseid holds the Amazonian by her hair as he examines her.

DARKSEID
Interesting. A world full of warriors, but they lack the discipline to reach their full potential. How sad.

BATMAN
Get away from her!​

Batman throws several explosive Batarangs at Darkseid. Each one more ineffective as the last until one is caught in his other hand.

DARKSEID
(examines the device)
Pathetic.
(explodes)
This is the best weapons your technology can muster? I must say I thought it would have evolved quicker if you were able to use the Mother Box.​

Wonder Woman stirs awake and grabs onto Darkseid's wrist.

DARKSEID
I see you still have some fight in you.
(grabs her by the waist)
Let's fix that shall we.
(tightens grip until a bone snaps)
​

Wonder Woman reels in pain as the New God has broken one of her ribs.

BATMAN/SUPERMAN
Diana!​

Superman charges Darkseid while he casually tosses her his way.

DARKSEID
Here. Save your scraps. She's lost my amusement.​

Superman catches her and looks at her wounds, the to Darkseid with bane in his eyes.

SUPERMAN
You-You monster!​

Superman charges once more Darkseid turns and grabs Superman by grappling his neck and slaps him as if he were a rag doll.

DARKSEID
I'm now having second thoughts on your endurance. Maybe I've overestimated your abilities.​

Superman grabs Darkseid's hand as his eyes glow red.

SUPERMAN
You haven't seen nothing yet.
(fires heat vision)​

Darkseid drops Superman as he's slowly pushed back from the blast. As the smoke clears, the New God stands.

DARKSEID
Most impressive, indeed. You really should consider joining me, and to think I almost gave up on you.​

Suddenly a golden lasso is wrapped around his neck. Darkseid turns to see a wounded Diana pulling on him.

DARKSEID
You, again? It appears I've underestimated you both.
(smiles as his eyes glow)
Good.​

Darkseid looks down and peers at the lasso.

DARKSEID (CONT'D)
This technology seems so familiar...
(pulls on the lasso dragging Wonder Woman with it)
...It appears I was mistaken by this primitive planet's inability to utilize the Mother Box after all. It's still crude and rudimentary to my own, but impressive.
(looks to Wonder Woman)
Tell me, wherever did you find this?

WONDER WOMAN
(struggling)
It was crafted by gods as well.

DARKSEID
(scoffs)
Gods? I am the only true god here.

SUPERMAN
More like the devil to me.​

Superman frees himself from Darkseid's grip and punches him in the face, but Darkseid remains unmoved.

DARKSEID
Still you resist. I'm a patient being. My invitation will always be open.
(grabs Superman's head)
But for now, I will show you to respect your master, boy.​

Darkseid begins to fire his omega beams sending Superman flying back in blinding pain.

WONDER WOMAN
No!
(pulls on her lasso)​

Darkseid is then pulled back from tremendous force by his neck by Wonder Woman. He falls with a large crash to the ground.

DARKSEID
(angry)
You've become more than a minor annoyance.​

As he gets up, Darkseid pulls on the lasso and swings it throwing Wonder Woman through various stone pillars. Suddenly he is struck by several blinding speed punches by a red blur. Darkseid is enveloped by a red tornado of punches, kicks, and lightning. As Darkseid struggles to find his footing, Wonder Woman is tended to by Batman and Superman gets up as they look at the spectacle.

DARKSEID
Enough with this!​

Darkseid puts out his hand to grab at the speeding attacker. He suddenly stops it by grabbing by the arm to reveal The Flash.

DARKSEID
A new challenger, I see.

FLASH
Sorry, I don't like to be manhandled.​

Flash suddenly starts to vibrate uncontrollably as Darkseid looks curiously. Suddenly he is free from his grip and runs off.

DARKSEID
Intriguing. Let's see if he's agile enough to avoid my omega beams.
(fires his beams)​

Flash quickly makes a sharp right turn.

FLASH
Need to do better than that-​

He is suddenly surprised to see one of the beams turned towards him while the other went around to meet him at the front. He quickly turns again only for the beams to continue to follow him. He runs around Darkseid, only for the beams to avoid him.

FLASH
I stand corrected.
​

Probably my most favorite scene here...I would pay anything to see this in a Justice League film...DC could learn a few things from you

 

[Tg11]

As The Flash runs, the beams get closer and closer. Right before they reach him, a bolt of lightning and a blue beam strike Darkseid. Losing his concentration, Flash is able to dodge the beams which lose track of him. The attackers are revealed to be Aquaman and Cyborg.

CYBORG
Booyah!

Darkseid turns to their direction with anger in his glowing red eyes.

DARKSEID
So many nuisances, so little time.​

Darkseid fires his beams towards the heroes. Suddenly the beams are blocked by Wonder Woman and Superman using her shield and a large stone slab, respectively. A large explosion encapsulates the area. As they're shrouded in smoke, the heroes gather to come up with a new strategy.

SUPERMAN
What took you guys so long?

FLASH
You know how long it takes to fix a sonic cannon? I'm a forensic scientist, not an engineer.

SUPERMAN
(nods and looks to Cyborg)
Is your cannon okay?

CYBORG
(unsure)
Yeah, it's almost good as new.

AQUAMAN
What do we do about him?
(gesturing towards Darkseid)

SUPERMAN
If we can't beat him in a head on fight, then we send him back to where he came from!

FLASH
Not to question you oh Man of Steel, but how do we do that?

SUPERMAN
(looks to Cyborg)
Can you make another portal?

CYBORG
It's still pretty banged up.

BATMAN
We'll have to fix it then.

SUPERMAN
Right. Bruce you stay with Cyborg and try to fix his cannon.

BATMAN
What makes you think I can?

SUPERMAN
If there's one person who's as smart as Lex Luthor, it's you. Besides you did almost kill the Man of Steel.
(smiles)

BATMAN
Fine.

AQUAMAN
Where do you want us?

SUPERMAN
With me and Diana.

FLASH
What about me? Should I stay with Bruce and help him?

SUPERMAN
No, we're going to need your speed. Besides, he has some help already.
(looks towards Lex)

LEX
What makes you think I'll help you?

SUPERMAN
Your so called God has turned his back on you and is threatening to take over the Earth and possibly enslave mankind, even YOU. Do you really want that?

LEX
Fine like Stalin and FDR, I too shall put aside our differences. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

SUPERMAN
That and Batman will be keeping an eye on you.
(looks to Batman)
Meet your new babysitter.

FLASH
Uh guys.​

The smoke starts to clear as Darkseid begins another assault.

SUPERMAN
Showtime.
(looks to Diana and places a hand on her shoulder)
Are you ready?

WONDER WOMAN
Don't worry about me. I've fought in worse conditions.
​

The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman line up as Superman takes the lead as Darkseid smiles.

Again how you are not writing this film astounds me...these scenes especially this one is perfect

i'd say in terms of fans writing some one off scenes versus writing an entire movie = whole different ball game. trying to write a full on script that makes sense and connects is the true challenge.

Thanks Tg11. I've written a few screenplays for two movies and three television shows, but haven't shopped them around. I mostly write for fun like these scenes, but I would like to make it a career someday.

BATMAN
(to Lex)
I'll deal with you, later.​

Batman snares Lex's legs in with a black cable and tethers it to a stone pillar. As Superman struggles against the pull of the boom tube, the league forms a human chain while trying to anchor themselves to the earth. Batman uses his grappling gun to create an anchor followed by Cyborg, The Flash, and Aquaman creating a chain. Diana ties her lasso around her waist and gives the other end to Aquaman.

WONDER WOMAN
Hold this! Pull us in when I get a hold of him!
(Aquaman nods)

Diana lunges herself towards Superman as she too fights the vacuum. The League struggles as the vortex becomes more powerful. Diana is almost close enough to Superman.

SUPERMAN
Diana, don't!

WONDER WOMAN
I'm not leaving you! We're not losing you! Not again!
(grabs onto Superman's wrist)
I got you!
​

Diana tugs on her lasso, signaling the others to pull. The others pull and pull with all their might, struggling from the intense strength of the vortex. Cyborg looks to his cannon.

CYBORG
Looks like there's only one way to do this.
(smashes cannon)
​

The portal quickly destabilizes causing a bright light and sonic boom to erupt from its center. The area is consumed by light and silence. Suddenly a collapsed League is seen on the ground with Diana holding Superman.

WONDER WOMAN
(cheekily)
Next time, just use your heat vision.​

Superman smiles and gets up as the others rouse to a standing position as well, surrounding the Man of Steel with expressions of solace and glee.

LEX
So the almighty has yet again escaped his inevitable fate?
​

The League turns their sights to Lex. Superman's expression changes to one of anger as he approaches the man.

LEX
And now he will judge me and cast hellfire for my sins. Delivering me my ultimate comeuppance for I no longer give mea culpa.
​

As Superman looks down at Lex his eyes start to glow red much to the delight of him.

LEX
So let him cast me to eternal damnation and deliver the final blow.

​

The League looks onward as uneasiness sets in. Diana quickly tries to intervene, only for Bruce to stop her.

BATMAN
He knows what he's doing.
​

Superman continues to stand over Lex with his heat vision at the ready.

LEX
(mockingly)
What's wrong? Does this false god not have what it takes to rid this world of supposed evil?
(Superman remains silent)
​

Lex's expression changes from quizzical to fear instantaneously as Superman just stands there in utter silence.

LEX
(concerned)
Well?! Are you going to do it! Or are you blinded by your own self-righteousness and hollow creed that you are in fact human and can't see the truth to what you truly are? Or blinded by your misplaced trust upon me?
(Superman stands in silence)
Answer me!

SUPERMAN
No... You're wrong... I see your soul... I see a man who can't see beyond his own microcosm that when someone disrupts it, he cannot bear the change. I see someone who I should end right now, but I will not. I will not be the man to kill Lex Luthor. Your ambitions and actions to be rid of me... will.

LEX
Well aren't you special. You see me as an impudent insect while you're above me.

SUPERMAN
Maybe one day you'll join me.
(turns to walk away)

Superman walks past the League with Batman quickly following.

BATMAN
You weren't really thinking about killing Luthor?

SUPERMAN
Maybe.
(smirks)

BATMAN
When are you going to stop having a sense of humor?

SUPERMAN
When are you going to get one?​

Another great scene I just loved it...sets the stage for future Justice League films but also sets up other DC heroes to show up such as Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter or Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Black Canary, etc. if you build towards post-credits introducing them sort of like how Marvel does it

Very nice, Loca! It's hard to actually write how one character can be such a challenge for a group as powerful as the JL, but I think you're doing a great job of it. I liked your inclusion of the Bat/Supes "sense of humor" exchange at the end there, too. I always enjoyed that bit in the cartoon.

So I noticed a continuity error in my scene where Darkseid has Superman by the neck. I hadn't noticed that I had Darkseid drop Superman from the impact of his heat vision, but the next scene he's still in his grip.

I also notice some missing words like "a" and "the", but that's what happens when typing on the Hype as there is some lag for some odd reason.

EDIT: Autocorrect hates me.

Scene - The Final Battle

Cyborg, seemingly in a trance as he tries to hijack Apokoliptian technology in a last ditch attempt to turn it against it's masters while the rest of The League try to buy him some time. The Batman, in a moment of respite, looks around the battlefield in awe as his allies, worn out and hurt from the hours of battle, fend off the swarms of Parademons. Awe which quickly turns to despair as he realises the swarms will never stop. Steppenwolf is beyond any of their reach in his capital ship hovering in Earth's upper atmosphere.

Suddenly, a thunderous crack is heard across the sky. The battlefield comes to a standstill as combatants on both sides avert their gaze to where the sound emanated from as an unbelievable sight begins to unfold before their eyes. The Parademons start behaving like spooked animals. Up in the sky, something is cutting through the dark, smoke filled sky, at incredible speed letting sunlight through in its wake.

Flash - That's not a plane...is it?

Aquaman - It sure as hell isn't a bird, kid.

Batman cracks a hint of a smile.

Batman - It's him.

The figure in the sky begins to descend. It's Superman! He plows through the horde of Parademons like a hot knife through butter causing the other Parademons to scatter. He comes to halt to gracefully land next to Batman.

Superman - Batman.

One by one the other heroes gather around Superman.

Superman - I see you've brought friends.

Batman - Well...you weren't exactly available.

Superman smiles. He turns his gaze to the rest of The League.

Superman - I'm sorry but proper introductions will have to wait. We have a world to save right now.

Flash - "You had me at hello".

 

[Lily Adler]

INT. METROPOLIS - NIGHT

A silhouette is outlined by the glistening aura of moonlight streaming in from the slightly covered window as it tries ever so silently to get out of bed as to not disturb the other figure adjacent of its vicinity.

LOIS
(yawns)
Clark?

CLARK
It's okay Lois. I have a late night meeting.

LOIS
Can't Bruce just have meetings in the daytime like normal people?

CLARK
(smiles)
You've met Bruce, right?

LOIS
(smiles)
Funny, Smallville. You're lucky it's Christmas or I wouldn't have given your present early this year.

CLARK
We do this almost every night...

LOIS
(blushes)
-No not that...

Clark looks visibly embarrassed at his remark after realizing Lois was actually referring to the new glasses for his disguise.

LOIS
I had them specially made based on your father's old pair when they got destroyed in that attempt to bottle Metropolis.
​

Clark looks at his newly received present.

CLARK
(kisses Lois)
And I will cherish them always.

LOIS
(smiles)
Until the next invasion or Luthor's next attempt to destroy your image.

CLARK
I got to go.

LOIS
(grunts)
Fine. You be careful, Man of Steel.
​

Clark changes into is familiar Kryptonian garb and heads to the window.

CLARK
Merry Christmas, Lois.

LOIS
(yawns)
Merry Christmas, Smallville. Now don't keep Bruce waiting. He may not be your wife but he complains like one when he's angry.

Clark smiles to that remark and leaves.

--Ground view; light snow falling over a dirt road pathway. In the blur distance, we can barely make out a woman sitting Indian style in front of what appears to be a tombstone. A huge Limousine tire appears in the shot as the camera focus's--

--Camera closes in on the drivers side window, silhouetted in the frame are two males. One in the drivers seat and one in the back. The driver has two hands on the steering wheel wearing black leather gloves. The man in the back, wearing a black top hat and black scarf, glares out the adjacent window--

Alfred
We arrived at our destination, Master Bruce.

Bruce
(Glancing at the floor)

What do you see, Alfred?

Alfred
I'm afraid she's still there, sir. Do you wish to proceed?

Bruce
(Finally looks out his window, which is facing the woman in question. A deep breath follows)

Stay here.

--Bruce lifts his hands up to his mouth, cups them and breaths warm air in the cold as we see him exit the Limousine--

--Quick shot; ground level of a Tombstone that reads "KENT" as two visible names are etched into the morbidly grey rock--Jonathan and Clark. Camera slowly pans to a closeup of the woman revealed to be Martha Kent. A big bodied man in a black suit is shown to be standing quietly over her shoulder, holding a boutique of flowers--

Mr. Wayne? I thought you would come.

--Martha looks up, eyes watery; grey- split end hair pulled up in a bun that is falling aimlessly to one side of her shoulder--

Bruce
I apologize if I startled you, Ma'am.

--Bruce takes off his heavy; black dress jacket to cover Martha's shoulders; sheering the cold wind from her body as he kneels and places the boutique of flowers; standing them up straight up on one end of the rocky corners of the Tombstone--

Martha
I'm a farm girl, Mr. Wayne. Nothing startles me nowadays. Clark would be happy you came. Here, sit.

--Martha grabs Bruce's hand and motions him down to a spot next to her. Bruce turns and gives Alfred a quick glare back at the Limousine--

Martha
I take this with me every day as a reminder. It's a scrap book of when Clark was a little boy (--she opens it up to reveal the science project photo of Clark and Jonathan we saw in 'Man of Steel')

Martha
I want you to have it. I want you to see who Clark was before all of this began. Promise me you will see him for who he really was, Bruce. PROMISE ME. (--whispers--)Oh, Clark..


--Bruce closes his eyes--

I will Ma'am. I have. It's cold, come on..I'll take you hom--

Martha
..don't touch me. I'll go when I am damn well and ready..

I feel him, Bruce. His energy. His warmth. He is still here with me. I know it..

--Martha turns to Bruce and smiles--
Good day, Bruce. Don't forget to look...up in the sky (--smiles--)

--Bruce stands, frowns for a moment and tips his hat. He leaves his coat on the shoulders of Mrs.Kent as he stands; tall and proud and walks back to the Limousine.--

Alfred
Sir? Is everything alright?

--Bruce, holding the scrap book in his hands, opens it for a second, reach's under the seat, pulls out to what appears to be a big, gold envelope. He sets it nicely in between the scrap book pages with the words "STAR LABS" italicized on the sealed flap--

Bruce
Not today, Alfred. She is not yet ready. Drive.

Alfred
Very well, Master Bruce.

--Back view of the Limousine driving away as they drive past a sign that reads "CEMETERY" with a white dove sitting ontop of it--

Thanks man! I would of thought so too, but I wanted it to come across that Martha is not only sleep deprived, but still going through the many stages of mourning (Sadness, grief, anger, acceptance, etc). She showed feisty'ness at times (telling Zod to 'Go to hell' in Man of Steel') so a little bit of that is peeking through there. She kind of loses it for a split second because of her lack of judgement to let go, but then quickly gathers herself to share something personal to Bruce in the next breath. I saw in my mind that she spends hours on end at the cemetery, refusing to leave and gets frustrated when people try to remove her from that spot. I set the time-frame in the winter because of Clark's aurora somehow keeping her warm. She's not going crazy

Appreciate it bro! It's fun. Real quick to explain Bruce in that scene:


He visits her often and checks up on her. He understands the levels of grief she is going through and wants her to go through those stages, naturally (as he once did.) He has information from Star Labs studying the genetics of Kryptonian cells and the possibility of Clark still being alive, but nothing can be confirmed at this stage. Bruce is not yet ready to reveal to Martha that these studies are occurring and that anything is a possibility, including rebirth. He holds back in fear of getting her hopes up and the consequences that can have to the human process of mourning. He's allowing her to gradually get to where she needs to be while respecting her wish's and distance. He knows one day, he's going to have to get her consent on what's going on at Star Labs. He will continue to visit her and will determine when that time is right.

(Fan-fic time) I just keep going back to the Codex, which is a life-forming mechanism of Kryptonian genetics. Once the Codex was implemented in Kal's cells, that form of life acts as its own form of energy or a pilot light so to speak. With the help of our yellow sun giving Clark his powers over his time on Earth,yellow sun radiation also generated energy deep into the genetic code of the Codex. Though Supes died, the Codex, acting as its own surge protector, recognized the dying cells of the Last Son of Krypton and immediately started to regenerate Kal's cells from within'. Or something like that lol.
