I would have been much happier with Emma. I like her more in general, and as an actor but having absolutely no idea where she would take the mystery character is more intriguing to me.

I really don't see Emma as Andrea either, pressuming that's the role that she and Scarjo are up for.

I like both actresses ,so , I'm not complaining if one or the other gets it.

A part of me is hoping that part 3 is a stealth remake of the '66 movie.

I honestly have my doubts on traditional Phantasm. I can buy a Phantasm like role, but I'm not sure about Scarlett being straight up Andrea. Battinson just doesn't feel like he's had that much of a relationship history pre The Batman and its prequel novel. So it'll be interesting to see what the twist is to make it work

I think the NPN article saying that she could also be Julie Madison is illuminating. Julie has Andrea's role of being Bruce's lost love from before Batman in the comics.

The character could be named Julie instead of Andrea to take suspicion off of the Andrea/Phantasm link/twist.

Emma Stone is my favorite actor currently working and I would have been ecstatic to see her in this. Not surprised she turned it down. She's at the point of her career where she can do anything. Without knowing what role this is, hard to say who would have been better.

We already have our Penguin, Riddler, Joker, and Catwoman! Though Selina here isn't a villain, it could be someone else taking on the mantle.

All you need is a submarine, Bat-charges, a bomb, and a Security Council. Surely some part of Gotham is still flooded, so put the submarine there!
