WTF is happening to my monitor?

[Hurm...]

This has been happening for the past few days now, but this morning my monitor's wrath is in full-force. It will constantly just turn my screen dark after I turn it on. Usually it would work just fine, after turning it on and off a few times, but now...

This is what's happening. Do I need a new monitor?

i had that problem before, it could be a VGA cable problem
buy a new VGA cable to see if it works, if it still doesnt work then it could mean that your LCD is overheated

Thanks guys, apparently the monitor was starting to die which is reasonable especially considering that I've owned it for 6-7 years, so I've bought another one.

I had the exact same problem a few years back. It was the the monitor which had just worn out. Had it for the same timeframe too.

Same monitor we have at our house. It does that from tiem to time...coudl be the computer, cause it sucks, too.
