I should really know how to do this...but I don't.
I recently purchased a 19'' widescreen monitor for around £100 and I have a query about it.
Upon setting it up, I changed the resolution etc to give me the crystal clear screen. Everything works fine, and if I want to play games such as HL2, I just change the settings...and it looks perfect.
I'm just having problems with the quality of films, or avi. files which should look crisp. Whenever I'd convert an avi. file into a dvd file and play it on my television set...it looks perfect. There's a really crisp and clean image. Thing is, I can't seem to optimise my viewing on the monitor with videos. Whenever I'd watch Heroes on the monitor...everything just looks too blurry.
I'm using Windows Media Player, Creative Mediasource and even PowerDVD to get the right result but still, it doesn't look that crisp. I'm just receiving a blurry image. Are there any specific ways to get a video working in great quality, like it should be?
Any suggestions and help are appreciated.
