Comics X-Men #185 First Look

It doesn't look too good for Gambit...

 

Milligan must be overthrown.

And... is that Larroca drawing in the pages? Havok's face looks so... un-Larroca-like.

 

I think he's isn't bothering to do his work correctly because he's going out from X-Men. At last, that's what it looks like, so poor.

I can almost guess what's happening later -in this issue or in the next one-:

Gambit realizes what he's done -smacking his girl and perhaps hurting Iceman or Havok-, wakes up of his brainwashing, goes against Apoc and blablablah...

. So poor. SO poor.

Please, end this arc ASAP and later do whatever they want to do with him -killing, disappearing-. Anything would be better than this hell of an arc.

 

I think some of Larocca's designs look different because he's trying out new techniques in his artwork. Last issue had real painted feel to it.

 

Well, at least this issue isn't one of his best works... and surely I was really pi$$ed off with Milligan's poor writing in this arc and for that I attacked the drawing too. Larroca is one of my favorite artists, but I don't like this issue.

Oh h*ll... just two issues more and this horrible thing will be out!

 

I really, really, really hate Milligan on Adjectiveless. It's downright vile... but you know what, sadly? I've stuck onboard for this long. What's the point in not buying the next couple issues?

That's so depressing.

And yeah, Specter. I noticed the painting-like quality to last issue as well, and wondered if he was testing out new styles. That's a nifty thing for him to be doing.

 

I hate Milligan on X-men too.

 

Larocca`s artwork is beautiful IMHO....Milligan`s Writing is what drives me away from X-Men these days...I`m Sticking to Astonishing and X-Factor for now

 

ten bucks gambit kills pulse and totally beats the **** out of mystique and just as hes about to kill rogue, he snaps out of it and turns. but after that his transformation turns out permanent and he leaves the x-men.

 

I read through this issue last night while picking up this week's comics. The ending... ugh. Trust me, the first four pages don't lead up to anything better. Although the fate of

isn't her? I've got that feeling since the beginning.

 

This isn't out is it????....I was under the impression it came out next week. And I figured they'd try and reveal SOMETHING seeing as how the arc is..oh....kinda done soon?

 

Rogue looks like a zombie drag queen in the bottom panel of page 2.

And has Gambit used his powers at all???....He wasn't listed as Depowered...but he hasn't used them once since the whole thing was over....hmm.... Maybe they forgot to list him and he is depowered?...
Or he's just gotten really f'n lazy.

 

He isn't depowered but it's like he were: he hasn't used his powers since... I don't remember.

 

I've been reading Adjectiveless ever since Milligan took over (with the exception of the Black Panther crossover) and I have to say, I don't think I've ever seen him use his powers. I don't know, maybe he did once or twice but it wasn't a prominant use at all for sure.

 

i'm not a huge fan for the gambit comics. But he is a popular character!

 

No, King, I think you're right. I don't think Gambit has ever used his powers in Milligan's run. Milligan probably doesn't know what his power even is. =P

You're probably right El B. And I wouldn't put it past him to just not right his powers rather then go ask a co-worker "Hey...er..what's this guy do..?"
That guy must be a whisper and snicker at the Marvel water cooler. Hehe.

 

One of my issues with the last issue was, why the hell was Bling (I think thats her name) with them in Apocalypse's Sphinx? Isn't she still a student? She didn't say anything or do anything either which just made her seem all the more random and pointless.
