Everyone has their own interpretation of what their dream / fantasy story & cast for an X-Men reboot would be.

For my story, I created a trilogy ala Star Wars style. The idea for the first one is kind of based on the concept of 'Inception', just a straight up action adventure featuring a great cast of characters that are interesting and compelling. Stylistically, I like Watchmen. Snyder could really make a cool looking film and even manage to use the costumes and colors from the comics that make the film WORK.

X-Men: Episode I - Children of the Atom

For this movie, we open up to mutants are in hiding. Xaiver and Jean Grey are political activist who use their ability to help mutants. Backstory is revealed that Xaiver school for mutants was deemed as illegal, shut down years ago. Magneto (Daniel Day-Lewis) is locked up in prison from a previous battle with the former X-Men which is not shown but just talked about. A mysterious shape shifter Mystique begins to cause chaos. Mystique has a team of mutants including Rogue who is confused about the world around her and the situation. She is manipulated by Mystique who she trusts. Mystique breaks into prison to release Magneto with Rogue's help.

Xaiver and Jean panic and sense the danger. The only way to stop Magneto again is to secretly reform the X-Men, the team of students that were deemed too dangerous by the govt to be a unit of enforcers. The first mutant they recruit back into the circle is Cyclops who hasn't seen Jean in forever. The past romance is introduced to the audience. Jean is upset at Scott for being distant and never keeping touch after their relationship ended years ago. The next mutant they recruit is Beast who is the brainiac type working for a college who easily agrees to the mission. Next up, Storm in Africa. She agrees. The final one they choose is Angel, who is a multi millionare. Angel refuses as he says that he chooses to live his life in solitude, he doesn't believe in Xaiver's ideas and battle against Magneto. He chooses to stay out. That leaves an open slot and Jean says that they must bring Wolverine as the final team mate. Cyclops is against the idea. Professor Xaiver sends Jean to recruit him personally because of past feelings Wolverine had with Jean. She'd be the only one to convince him. Wolverine is in Alaska by himself. Jean talks him into coming for another mission of recapturing Magneto.

As the team gets together, they must map out the plan out the idea of how to solve their problem. Xaiver / Jean can't break into the minds of Magneto to find his location, but they are able to mentally find Rogue, who is closest to Magneto / Brotherhood. For this task, Xaiver personally goes to Rogue and begins the job of teaching her about herself and mutants. Rogue is the character that has the biggest arc of the story. She is troubled, confused, emotional and throughout the story realizes where she stands in the world and that is with the X-Men.

Meanwhile, Cyclops, Storm & Wolverine act as the fighters of the group. Jean & Beast do the brain stuff at the mansion, while Pro X handles Rogue to get her to help the X-Men. At this point, we get into relationship problems with Cyclops and Jean. He realizes he is still in love with her, but has trouble expressing this idea to her. His emotion detachment issues is masked by his eagerness to go into the battle with the other X-Men. During their journey, Cyclops begins to act aggressive and more angry than usual toward Wolverine (who has problem with authority). The two bicker and fight, but Storm acts as the mediator. Cyclops knows he must step forward with the truth to Jean that he is sorry for leaving, but he has issues that he can't open up like that.

Act II is the battle of Cyclops, Storm and Wolverine against Mystique, and the other evil mutants. Mystique of course manages to win the battle , the X-Men can't locate Magneto. Magneto is behind the scenes and remains similar to Roy Batty from Blade Runner. No real back story, but an unknown agenda in the beginning. All we know is that he is the most powerful mutant in the world and could destroy everything, it's the silent and unknown of his character that makes him haunting.

Mystique has a scene with Magneto to convince him to start war with humans and take over. Magneto denies her request even though she broke him out of prison. Magneto leaves and Mystique is confused. Magneto begins to walk the streets and sees the hate in the humans. He sees chaos and violence. During this time, Cyclops and Jean share many moments, but the final one is where he pours his feelings toward Jean. Before Jean can respond, they are interrupted by someone, and Jean escapes before an answer is giving to Scott.

American Govt is in panic mode. They fear Magneto and are preparing for war. They begin taking DRASTIC measures which is to round up all the mutants to search and find Magneto. They know Magneto could kill anyone he wanted to. A battle ensues when the govt tries to take over the 'X-Men' project Xaiver is running.

ACT III - As things are starting to get more chaotic, the President is in his office as he is met with Magneto who ripped his way into the oval office without any problem. Here, we learn Magneto's intentions finally. He makes the threat to obey Xaiver's policies and ideology and he will let the human race live. His idea is to threat the human race to follow his former friend's dream or else there will be mass murder. The Govt responds by attacking Magneto and trying to capture / kill him. Magneto begins to cause the most chaos / havoc in the film thus far. The X-Men meet Magneto on the broken streets of NYC, including Rogue who has developed into a pure X-Man. Magneto takes out Storm first. The team is Rogue, Wolverine, Cyclops and Storm who arrive.

While an injured Storm, Cyclops, Rogue, Wolverine begin to take on Magneto, they are stopped by the return of Mystique and her followers. An epic final battle occurs. Cyclops, Rogue and Wolverine battle a super mutant (could be any one, Pyro, I dont care...doesn't matter). Rogue and Wolverine split to chase Mystique, while Cyclops takes on Super Evil Mutant one on one. He is nearly done, but is rescued at last second by Jean and Beast who have remained behind the action the whole movie, but now the audience gets to see their fight scene finally. Together, Jean and Beast take out the Super Mutant. Jean confesses to Cyclops she loves him and they share a kiss before realizing the bigger problem than the Super Evil Mutant they just beat, and that is that Magneto is ready to crush some folks.

Magneto is high above in the sky building a magnetic wave that will crush the city. Storm is hurt and can't fly to him. Xaiver returns and tells the team that he must meet Magneto one final time to put an end to the destruction. Xaiver needs to get close enough to Magneto to mind *beep* him , he can't do it from a distance. Storm is down, Xaiver sees a small bird from a distance that turns out to be Angel returning to the team as his character arc is now in full circle. He lifts up Xaiver to the chaos in the sky and dies in the process. His sacrafice allows Xaiver to battle Magneto via mind battle. Magneto is out.

On the ground, Rogue defeats Mystique in a revenge battle. She can't kill her, so Wolverine escorts her away as she is injured and stablized. As Rogue exits the picture, Wolverine decapitates Mystique.

Magneto and Xaiver have a dialogue. At this point Cyclops gets in the picture ready to kill Magneto. Magneto asks if he must die, Xaiver lets him live , but to be banished into exile while Xaiver must politically solve the human / mutant crisis. Magneto leaves, Cyclops upset at Xaiver.

Angel dead. Mystique dead. Rogue on the team now.

The End.

Themes / Subjects in my idea is that Magneto and Professor Xaiver share the same dream, they just differ on how to gain that dream. Xaiver is like Martin Luther King, he wants to do it politically, where as Magneto is like Malcolm X, wants the dream by brutal force. They don't hate each other and respect one another, but they can't let the other have their way.

Rogue is the character arc of the film. She's the Ellen Page of inception. The audience goes through her character to understand the world which we are being introduced to. She is confused and new to the story / adventure and its Xaiver that guides her (or technically guides the audience). She discovers about mistrust with Mystique and her quest for redemption takes place throughout the story.

Magneto is powerful, simply the most powerful mutant on the planet. Thats all we know at first. We don't really know his motives / plans until the end. He decides the humans can not make peace unless forced. In the Singer movies, Magneto is just talked about being the most powerful, but then Singer shows us mutants that are equal if not more powerful than Magneto. In my story, its crystal clear nothing compares to Magneto and he really can beat anything except himself. And it's Xaiver that really gets in his mind and helps defeat Magneto, not Storm shooting crap at him or Wolverine trying to claw him. In the end, its the human emotion that defeats Magneto.

Redemption and Forgiveness is a key element. At the end, Cyclops is ready to off Magneto, but Xaiver decides to take a higher road. Yes, he's dangerous, yes he should go, but Xaiver respects LIFE, not just humans or certain mutants who agree with him. In the end, he decides to continue the battle with politics and show humans they can co-exist, and he'll do that without murdering other mutants. Wolverine on the other hand, different story.....

Storm, Wolverine & Cyclops are the enforcers of the team. Each X-Man has a job in the story. These three are the fighters of the group. Cyclops in charge of the missions / battles. Problem is they can't get along. Throughout the story (which I didnt really go into), the two just never see eye to eye. It's Cyclops ego plus his emotional issues that he loves Jean which is his flaw while Wolverine has problems with authority. The only thing keeping these two in line is Storm interfering and keeping the peace. Despite Cyclops / Wolverine differences, they have massive amount of respect for Storm. These three are mainly in the action sequences and are the driving point of the story. The story follows these particular three as their journey to hunt the most dangerous mutant of all.....

Mystique acts as the one creating chaos for her own personal agenda. She is greedy and merely uses mutants and their power to her advantage. We see this in the beginning when she manipulates Rogue, who is later rescued by Xaiver. But then she wants to use Magneto's powers to create an all out war. She is a manipulative *****. Magneto refuses her and she is angry she does not get her way. She tries to seduce Magneto with shape shifting into beauty but Magneto is so caught up in his own self journey into figuring out what to do with his life and his powers. In the end, Rogue gets revenge and Wolverine finishes the job.

Angel is a character I didn't go into detail about. He is there throughout the story. He doesnt agree to fight with X-Men, but he secretly finances Xaiver's mission. He supplies the Jet (Blackbird) to the team mid way through. He is in total denial of himself as a mutant. His character represents denial of who you are and ignoring your flaws and problems. He tries to live his life as normal, but he knows he can't. In the end, he decides to take matters into his hands and fight with Xaiver and help him fight the Brotherhood in the climax battle. He dies in the process and sacrifices himself so Xaiver can go on...

Here's my thing with Wolverine and Singer's Wolverine. Wolverine is such a popular character that they threw him as the main character in all three movies. That is not true to the comic. By X-Men 3 The Last Stand, Wolverine is practically running the team ! Not Wolverine at all... Wolverine shouldn't be played by a Broadway good looking Australian! I love Hugh Jackman, but this is not Wolverine. In MYYYY story, Wolverine does what he needs to do in the story and that is just be a little ugly scrappy mo fo that is the brutal force of the team. He is rugged, mean, angry and bitter about life. Despite his problems with authority, he really secretly looks up to Xaiver and admires him deep down. I think this is the best part of Wolverine. Because in my story, even though he is slashing things, and arguing with Cyclops and just being 100 percent fighter, deep down he agrees with Xaiver and loves the cause. That's about the only thing he loves and he shares that with no one.. Yes, he is not the main character of my story. He is the backbone of the team. He is the fighter. I want him like Joker from Dark Knight. Joker stole the movie and he wasn't the main character in it, Batman was. Joker was a supporting character that was so interesting , he stole the show. He didn't even have to be in the film the whole time... Less is more sometimes. Singer X-Men just threw Wolverine on screen every chance, I just think it's better to keep him as the support backbone of the team and create wonderful fight scenes where he steals the show instead of being forced down people's throats. My Movie is called "X-Men", not "Wolverine and the X-Men". I didn't make him beat Magneto in the climax using Rogue, neither of them were the main players. My reboot is about Xaiver & Magneto and the characters around them that play a part in the story.

Sorry , I was bored....
