I'd really want to know if they're giving customers the option of choosing their own covers. It looks like that to me.

Attention, US guys, the dvd that's on sale here in Argentina is Region 4 AND 1, so if you want the 2-disc edition with 21 deleted scenes you could buy it

To anyone who has the DVD, are the extra features worth it?
I didn't like the movie very much, but I've been very tempted to buy it for the extra's, such as the commentary's, deleted scenes and animatics.
So, what are they like? And is there any new footage?

I recieved it the past weekend and there are some interesting things. Like the storyboards, the animatics, some quotes deleted, like Storm making a refference to her past, the documentals, and all. But you know, when I saw all, then I got the feeling it was little, he.

Those are not individual character covers. Those are what you get when you buy the box set will the double editions of all films (the seventh one comes with the extras left out of X Men 5.1).

Brett Ratner, director of X-Men: The Last Stand, said he will have a personally made behind-the-scenes look as part of the film's DVD release.

"I have a two-hour documentary on the making of the movie that I shot," Ratner said. "It wasn't like EPK (electronic press kit) crews coming by and filming me going, 'Oh, today we're filming the...'

"It was an in-depth making of the movie."

Ratner said he was excited about putting the DVD together.

"I think if you're an X-fan or a fan of this movie, it's going to be mind-blowing," he said.

Ratner said the DVD will contain new footage, but it won't be an extended cut.

No. They're seven boxes. One with the extras of the original release of X-Men (minus the movie, go figure - I guess they're releasing that Senator Kelly special with DTS sound and needed the space), two with the 2-disc X 1.5, two with the two disc X2, and two with the two-disc X3.

any ideas on when these might be released? i knew they woudl release something.. you cant even believe how angry i was when i bought the special edition here in canada, the box was about an inch thick and i figured at least 2 discs loaded with extras... instead i got a half assed comic and a one disc dvd with 10 or so extras and a audio commentary? i was shocked considering the xmen2 dvd was a smaller box but held 10x the extras,... i really have been wondering where all the "making of"'s and animatics are? did they just throw them away? its really mind boggling. but the news that they might come out with another special edition (although it pisses me off after spending 30+'s on the first special edition..) makes me pleased. ill buy it for sure. whens it out??
