X-Men: The Last Stand on DVD October 3

Well, Lauren Shuler Donner and Tom Rothman clearly have different ideas of what an X-Men movie should be. I'll leave it up to you to decide which one we want calling the shots.

A New Mutants movie?

Hmmmm.

As long as they don't use Douglock, that's okay.

I'd like to see the Gambit screentests and concept art on a future release.
Me too, it would be really interesting to see how Channing Tatum and whoever else auditioned for the role went for it.

BTW, in short: Singer ruined Superman, Ratman ruined the X-Men. So we have two new contenders for the Joel Schmucker Awards.
Your opnion. These men did make crappy Batman & Robin type movie.
I think Superman Returns is great, X3 has some great moments but could have been so much better. Both kind of got screwed in editing process.

I'll never understand how or why a 7 minute/10 million dollar scene could be cut.:cmad:

Its weird. He's become an over night star without the help of X-Men.

And he's not even a good actor.

well Halle said she would come back providing that Storm would be given a good role...Wolverine can be done without..it's been done in the comics... :cwink:

X1 is on FX right now, and yes, they will be showing X3 DVD stuff throughout the movie!!!

The movie just started, so I haven't seen any DVD stuff yet, but they'll be re-running it again at 10:30 tonight in case anybody misses it!!! :woot:

Well, X-Men The Last Stand comes out here tomorrow!

I'm buying mine tomorrow night! Can't wait!:)

Ok i live in florida. Well i saw the dvd on a commercial therugular one and it says it only has 10 deleted scenes and 3 alternative ending i thought it was 21 deleted scenes.

I guess we'll all know for sure tomorrow. Lots of conflicting reports

Wouldn't be surprised if Fox realized how many R1 people were pissed about the 10/21 difference and tried to switch it to 21 and there's a few 10-ers still around and the commercial was made before they changed it to 21ers. At least that is the only way that could make sense out of everything.

Will get mine tomorrow night. WOO!

Now this is a q for the people with the non-R1 disc, exactly how long are the other extras - aside from the trailers and deleted scenes which I figure isn't much like maybe 30 minutes.

i hope someone gets the R1 dvd at midnight and can tell what the hell is on there!

so are there 21 or 10 deleted scenes?

also, should i get the two pack at walmart or just the regular version? can anyone tell me whats on the extra disc?

thanks.

^ 50 minutes of behind the scenes footage.

I'm definately gettin the 2-pack since R1 is so bare bones on the extras side...at least compared to other regions.

Posted in all DVD threads: Uh oh? Guys, I got this e-mail today. Could not verify who it came from, but sounds possible, since we've got conflicting reports on R1's X3 DVD:

I work at Fox and want to tell everyone about a BIG error -
FOX by accident included 21 pieces of Value Added deleted scenes on the
DVD on only some of the DVDS. These extra features were supposed to be
held for the second special edition DVD release later next year. If
your DVD only has 10 pieces of VAM you can return it for a refund.

If you don't believe me, when you buy it compare your DVD with your
friends

Could it be true??? I guess we'll truly know tomorrow

alright, i read somewhere or other that there's a Target special edition too.. so that makes 4: the barebones edition, the barebones + comic edition, the wal-mart edition, and the target edition. is that right? also, which one should i get (between the wal-mart one and the target one, obviously)?

I'm watching it right now. I forgot how many enjoyable moments there are in this film when watching it the whole way through rather than just skipping around. There are so many good actual X-Men moments.

Personally, I'm getting the Walmart edition for the bonus disc. The Target edition has a exclusive tin the DVD comes in, as well as a comic and some trading cards. I want the tin, but not the other stuff, so yeah...I'm going for the Walmart one.

ooh okay, so the Target one doesn't actually have any extra dvd-related material? great, thanks a lot :)

I think I'm getting mine at blockbuster only because it seems most people who got the 21 deleted scenes got it there..lol. Hope I get lucky too!

LOL...its like the Willy Wonka contest search for the golden ticket.

Only I doubt people will be buying multiple copies of X3. :cwink:

Sorry if I'm interuppting anything but...

I've browsed through this thread but just want to verify this with someone really quick,

Is this DVD:

DVD_XMen3_WS.jpg

The exact same DVD as this:

DVD_XMen3_CE.jpg

Except that the bottom one has a comic in it right? There are no more deleted scenes or extra features or anything on it correct? Thanks.

Correct. :yay:

You also get four trading cards along with the comic book. The disc is exactly the same. Only Region One (US and Canada) is getting the one disc. Every other Region is getting the two disc. The second disc has docs, blogs, pre-viz stuff, etc. al.

The good news is the one disc has all of the 21 deleted scenes and all 3 of the alternate endings. So we are not being shortchanged there.

Oh, and both trailers as well.
___________

Wal-Mart is offering a second disc, but it is factored into the price. It's behind the scenes footage, probably a few featurettes or something similar. However, it is not what the other Regions are getting as their second disc. This is something totally different, exclusive to Wal-Mart.
