X3's competition getting slammed by critics!

I read the book but have not seen the movie (will have to wait for video - hubby refuses to see it). A friend of mine who absolutely LOVED the book saw it this weekend. I told her about all the reviews. Here's hers:

my GF wanted to see it really bad, so what could I do...... it was a decent movie, it doesn't deserve all the bad reviews, it was filmed very well, I love the flashback scenes, and the supporting actors were great, specially Ian, I think he is the best actor out there right now.

I felt the film dragged on a bit after

Ian McKellan's character was arrested

but it wasn't as awful as the critics said it would be! Some of the younger people in the audience were playing on their cellphones during the film so I think some people found it boring! I never read the book but I thought the film was fine!

If X2 did $86M in 2003 when ticket prices were lower and it was a non-holiday weekend I expect this to do much better.

tis funny how people were laughing at the review opf the DVC a week ago, saying "omg the critics hate it, it must be bad", but now when the critics give x3 bad reviews, it will be "critics suck"

But X3 will still be #1 at the box office!!! I mean DVC can't make more in it's second week than X3 makes in it's first week!!!
