Xbox LIVE question/

Hey guys I have a question.

I want to really get on Xbox live but My 360 is upstairs while the computer is downstairs.

Now I was wondering if I were to buy this :http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802124
would I be able to get on live without having to hook up my 360 to my computer?

I'm also told I need a wireless router. Can anyone help tell me which is best and how do I set this up.

Well, if you have DSL then you can get hook up the wireless adapter and you're pretty much set after setting your DSL modem as the infrastructure. If you don't.. then I can't help you.

I have a LinkSys wireless router at my house. Works great, never had a problem with it.

Get the $100 360 wireless network adapter, connect the router with the highspeed, and you're all set. Just set up Live.

OK, I went to my control panel and found "wireless network set up".

Does this mean I don't need a router?

What type of internet connection do you have?

What modem do you have?

If you have DSL you should be able to configure your DSL modem for wireless and then all you need is the wireless network adapter for the 360. Once the adapter is hooked up and your modem is sending out the signal just go to your dashboard and go to network settings and test for the xbox live connection.

Setting up wireless cable isn't much different than DSL. Here is a more detailed description for what you need to do.
