While when it comes to Multiplatform I say just go with the system that you think has the better controller has the game are just about the same 99% of the time or if one has an extra DLC. I know about my spelling I try I think I am dyslexic or something I have never been able to spell for crap.

Yeah I know halo is big but I have never been into shooting games like at all and I almost never play online and yeah I remember hearing about the problems that the MCC had. I think they may have patched it by now but I am not sure.
I wasn't trying to put you on the spot or anything, that was just a long post you made and a bit of reading, you know. Sorry if it offended.

and imo both controllers have their ups and downs

Original Xbox's lifespan was only 4 years? I could have sworn it was 5 or 6
Yeah, the original Xbox had a very short lifespan and Microsoft dropped it the moment the Xbox 360 came out. It was a reason why investors weren't happy at all with the first Xbox. The success of the Xbox 360 has given it a lot of longevity with the release of the Xbox One.

i'm sure the investors felt underwhelmed with the way the xbox was selling during the 6th gen as well.

These generations are getting a bit long for my tastes. I don't really get how a fixed hardware can be impressive 8/9 years later given how fast technology changes nowadays.

tech does improve pretty fast, however. the tech they had in the 7th gen was clearly very capable. I wouldn't have minded if the 7th gen went for a whole 10 years if it meant getting tlou-quality games for the next few years.

on the flip side though, I'd rather see Uc4 being as good as it does in the promos rather than the same as Uc3.

I think it might be different in future now that the current consoles are more similar to pc architecture. In the past each successive console was created on often totally new proprietary technology and so the learning curve was steep at the beginning of the generation meaning a fair while for great games to emerge and then not enough time in the console's peak years before they get replaced. I think with the generation after this if the tech stays similar to pcs but massively upgraded, the early years will be better than past consoles and they can reach high levels earlier on. That said of course the manufacturers will want the gens to be as long as possible so as to maximise profit and those on a budget will want the most value for their purchase.

a lot of devs were annoyed with the length of the 7th gen though. but yeah I do hope it lasts at least as long. i mean the longer the gen is, the more you get out of the console you invested in.

btw, last gen in particular the 360's hardware was a lot more familiar for devs than the Ps3s's was. it's part of the reason why most games had it as its primary platform of development

When do you all think E3 rumors and early news will start popping up? I'm guessing late April or early May

We've already had some early news in that Bethesda will be having their own press conference for the first time ever.

Interesting news about Bethseda

I wonder if Ninteno will have one this time

I'll be very interested to see how Star Fox looks.

It cool I just get tried of the spelling thing so when people bring it up I get annoyed hate that I cant spell. While I have always like sony controller more then xbox but I think Game Cube was the best controller of all time.

While last gen was longer then normal. Ps3 came out in 2006 with ps4 in 2013 so 7 years and xbox 360 2005 with xboxone in 2013 so 8 years when it is normaly 5-6 years so really last gen was like 2 years over do so I don't think this gen we be like that. I think this gen will be back to more like 5-6 years. So I think ps4 in 2018-2019 and same with xbox and I think Nintendo in 2017-2018.

I think around middle early may has that is around a month before E3. I cant weight in till right around then with Zelda, star fox and batman being out by then and also with Jurassic world movie coming out around then to.
Do you think we could get some kind of DLC news for batman arkham knight at E3?

I'll be very interested to see how Star Fox looks.

Yeah me to I am hoping that they make it a lot like the SNES star fox kind of style. Oh do you think we will get a realize date for both Zelda and star fox at E3? I also wonder when splatoon will come out. I know they said may but they didn't say the excate date.

A lot of release dates are unknown yet except being Q3 or Q4 of this year but I'm guessing many publishers are waiting for E3 when the hype for a lot of things will go into overload
