who wins here ? the xmen team from the animated series or JLA from there cartoon series ?

magneto helped out the xmen in alot of episodes so hes on the team as well. and remember

remeber jean and phoenix are one. phoenix wipes out JLA all on her own

In terms of quality and animation, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited wipe X-Men off the floor

you saw in the phoenix saga gladiator flying at phoenix and trying to destroy it. he didnt do a single thing to her. and gladiator is more powerful than supes so he cant do jack as well.

That's what I was basing it on.
The stories and writing was much better, and so was the acting.

The Justice League Unilmited would wipe the floor of the X-Men. Mostly because of their sheer numbers and power differations.

Anyways, I was talking about the shows, not the teams. The DCAU was much better than the cartoons Marvel put out in the 90's

i made the thread of which team would win. not which show is cooler. yea some JLA episodes where cooler than xmen

Judging solely on the SEVERE violence restrictions that hampered the X-Men's fighting abilities (Wolverine was never able to use his claws unless fighting robots, for example) and how un-hampered the JLA were, the JLA win with ease.

dont think un-hampered, just think of who was on each team, and think that it was a fight in a comic book.

Team wise. It would still go to the Justice League.

By the Justice League contained: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, John Stewart, Hawkgirl, Flash, J'onn J'onnz, Steel, Supergirl, Zatanna, Dr. Fate, Aquaman, AMAZO, Vigilante, Green Arrow, Speedy, Shining Knight, Crimson Avenger, Starman, Stargirl, STRIPE, the Question, Black Canary, Metamorpho, Mr. Terrific, Atom Smasher, Ray Palmer, Captain Marvel, the Huntress, Vixen, Hawkman, Orion, Elongated Man, Booster Gold, Fire, Ice, Dr. Light, Wildcat, Aztek, B'wanna Beast, Creeper, Blue Devil, Crimson Fox, Dr. Mid-Night, Hawk, Dove, Etrigan, Waverider, Vibe, Rocket Red, Sand, Plastic Man, Etrigan, Long Shadow, Obsidian, Nemesis, Johnny Thunder, Thunderbolt, Gypsy, Hourman, Commander Steel

The Johnny DC roster also included: Black Lightning, Adam Strange, Firestorm, Blue Beetle, Mary Marvel, Power Girl, Deadman, Zauriel, Bagman, All-Star, and the Phantom Stranger.

The X-Men had Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Jubilee, Gambit, and Morph

By sheer numbers and the vast differentiations of power gives the Justice League pwning powers over the X-Men

Second this.JLA and JLU are probably the best superhero cartoons ever made. The stories were tight as hell and the action sequences were remarkable.

Animation - My vote is for X-Men, I like the visuals better.
Story - I like the X-men story but JLU is good because it isn't just mutant mutant mutant all the time, it has some variety.
Character battle - JLU wins it due to the fact X-men has a dozen members at most in the cartoon.

While I like the X-men cartoon (Have all the episodes on DVD with the spider-man ones too :D) the JLU is a little better due to the variety of characters and better story.

Other X-Men made appearances too, not all those characters where in every episode of JLU, some only made one appearance. JLU would still win but if your gonna list all those JLU characters, why not list X-Men like Colossus, Night Crawler, Banshee, etc...

Yeah, it should only be: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Captain Atom, Supergirl, Hawkgirl, Vixen, Black Canary, The Question, The Huntress, and Mr. Terrific. Those are the only ones who appeared in more than one episode and were really expanded upon.

Exactly, the sad thing is JLU would still wipe the floor with the X-Men.

What the real question is, why did he say "Animated series" for the xmen one and "Cartoon series" for the JLA one?

Trying to make it seem like the xmen series is more mature?

The difference is that the heroes I mentioned in the Justice League roster are actually members of the Justice League. The X-Men that appeared on the show in the cartoon: Colossus, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Havok, Polaris, etc, just had appearances on the show and teamed up with the X-Men, they didn't become members and remain on the show.

I was about to say that before I realised you'd already typed it :(

Well when you say JLU your forgetting Batman Beyond. Static and all the rest of them from Batman Beyond because like it or not they all are a member of the JLU too.
