I'm Not Messing Around, I'm Doing Important Stuff in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

The Tonight Show history will go Carson > Leno > Fallon. Just those three. Nothing else happened. :o

I am pretty excited for Lanterns. Do we have any idea of the window next year it should debut?

LOL, Homie, it was a cute show and had a lot of good things but I’m just SO OVER high school Spidey.

I like him better college aged and having big boy problems.
Believe me I'm totally with you there. But I don't that hold that against it.

Back when Spectacular was being developed, it was the opposite. With the exception of the Ultimate Comics, it was a pretty novel idea to do High School because every other medium featured an adult Peter. Unfortunately in the nearly 20 years since that has flipped.

Yeah like the time he gave up his wife to save his 80 year old aunt. :o

Gunn did better than I would have expected, but his sensibilities aren't exactly a natural fit for Superman. The adolescent humour, issues writing women/POC, and the thematic missteps with certain cultural elements might have been ironed out with a co-writer or someone above him in the corporate ladder reading the script and giving notes.
Haven't watched it yet but I was afraid of this the SECOND he was announced as director lmao. I take no joy in seemingly being right!
