Here's a way to get some danger room action without actually going to a danger room- get Arcade as the bond-style villain. He's an eccentric billionaire heir who hires himself out as a hitman, kidnaps various business and political VIPs, drops them off in his Murderworld traps (located at various places across the globe), and they are summarily dispatched.. his latest kick is finding and capturing low-powered mutants to put through the paces..

The X-Men investigate, and by the third act they must go through a murderworld adventure and survive... you can have some proto-sentinel human sized robots as foes, include people like Bolivar Trask.. the climax can have a 'giant' sentinel robot, 15+ feet tall..

lots of elaborate sets can be created, and you don't have to say "why would xavier have some weird giant pinball scenario in his basement"..

I don't know about this. Arcade doesn't really fit the tone of the X-men movie universe; he has more of a cartoonish personality, and would be a better fit tone-wise for something like Raimi's Spider Man or Schumacher's Batman franchise. Unless they want to re-engineer the character to make him something more serious.

Arcade was ok in ultimate X-Men comics. Mojo was a obease albino who had Arcade hunt mutants on his island and streamed it on the internet.
