Yahoo email attachment need help!!!

I need to attach a 12 to 22 megabyte file. How do I resize my file and send it to the receiver?

The sender and the receiver has yahoo mail.

22 megs is too big? did you try zipping it up? you can use windows built in zip/unzip or get winrar at www.rarlab.com.

I suggest using 7-Zip, its free...opensource...and can compress using one of MANY different formats.

If its not small enough you could split it, make it self-extracting and send it in multiple files

he can run the self-extractor and it'll reassemble the file at the other end

I downloaded 7-zip and i dont get it. I dont know how to use it. But I'll try again.

Does anybody know any zip programs that are free to use? Its kinda of urgent to send my e-mail.

There's this one. Is that the one you got? Cos there's a command line version that you probably don't want. That aside, its just like Winzip or whatever.

There's also ZipGenius.
