Yay or Nay: Batman and the Monster Men?

I was looking at trades today and I saw Batman and the Monster Men by Matt Wagner on the shelf. I didn't buy it but I looked at it, and despite the B movie title it actually looked good. The art was nice, the story seemed all-around good, and the Batmobile looked more kick-a$$ than usual. Has anyone around here read it and would you recomend it?

Go back and get it immediately... look for 'Trinity' and get that as well. When the 'Mad Monk' comes out, buy it. Do Not Pass on Wagner's Batman, ever.

It's pretty good--though I must say that, to me, the fun of those golden age Batman stories that Monster Men and Mad Monk were based of was the fact that Batman was a crazy-ass motherf**ker who would kill on a whim, but still, Monster Men was very good.
