You are cool enough for the Exclusive The Hero, The Question, Zev & C.F. Kane thread

I saw it the Saturday before heading back to school with my younger brother. Great film

it was ten times cooler in the Children of Men fan-made trailer for the grassroots campaign

The grab-quotes ruin the flow of the video and there's only the most tangential connection between the lyrics and what's happening onscreen (what does the free-market economy have to do with Julianna Moore kissing Clive Owen?).

Also, it's unintentionally hilarious how the video eventually makes it looks like he's calling the critics ****s.

I love how Australia completely gets the shaft with this team.

People, seriously watch Yu-Gi-Oh: the Abridged series. It's probably the funniest thing on Youtube.

A 'effing loved this book as a kid.

I wonder how many families will go into this thinking they're going to see a lighthearted fantasy film, with no idea how dark it is. That is, if it's faithful to the book. If it's not, I'll steal Walt Disney's frozen head and use it to create an army of Uber-Walt's to wipe Disneyworld off the face of the earth. :cmad:

Well what pisses me off is that in the trailers they're trying pass it off as some "Chronicles of Narnia" thing where these kids disover a new world, where in the book, it's fairly up front that everything happening is the kid's imaginations. Sorta false advertising.

Oh, and one of them dies at the end.

That's what I'm saying. Parents are going to go in expecting a fun, Narnia-type adventure, and instead get a PG version of Heavenly Creatures. (Not that that's a bad thing, I like watching people get shocked and offended) And as you mentioned, the ending is seriously ****ed-up for a children's book.
