The company attitude is that it doesn’t matter if fans boo him. It isn’t the late eighties and WWE’s success isn’t tied to one wrestler on top. The WWE brand is what drives money and most fans will find something to like.

They're kind of right though. They can cruise by with decent profits with just about anyone on top. Long term fans have shown they'll tough it out no matter what.

The problem is because they're a publicly traded company they have to show growth, and that's not gonna happen with such crappy booking and putting just any got as the face of the company.

You're right, though. And it's a shame it's the truth.

However, those horrible ratings are no coincidence. And the Cena parallel in the article isn't comparable. Cena was never unanimously booed when he became the top guy. That took years to get to the split crowds. And when it's all said and done, there are two things about Cena's split crowds. Cena's been the same character for over a decade so that's a rational excuse for the boos. And two, his merchandise sells more than anyone else so that's truly why it doesn't matter that he's a face that gets booed. Reigns does not have any of those excuses.

Anyone see the Miz on Supernatural the other night?

I really hope El Rey Network releases Lucha Underground on dvd/blu ray since it seems it won't be on Netflix anytime soon.

Would Daniels ever be interested in being a coach at the WWE Performance Center when he decides to hang it up?

More Bayley (this time shooting for Edge and Christian's show):

But they can be more profitable with a likable guy on top. That's the problem. Vince and WWE are complacent. It's like Punk said, Vince is a millionaire when he should be a billionaire.
