WWE needs to do something about their grueling schedule. The injuries are piling up.

Many of have been asking for an off season for the 'E for a long time. Or staggered schedules where each wrestler can get a few months off to recover any lingering issues and stay healthy (as healthy as they can given their profession).

The Miz is better out of the ring anyway doing talk segments or commentary. I'd replace JBL with him in a heartbeat.

totally in favor of an off season, cut it down early December and use the Royal Rumble as your "Opening Day"

I'd only run 8 months from January to August since they don't really try through the fall and into the Christmas season. WWE is on auto-pilot from September until January.

Progress Wrestling just announced they will be hosting two qualifying matches for WWE’s Global Cruiserweight Series.

Progress made the announcement live on Periscope moments ago, and said the two matches will take place at their next event on April 24th at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London, England. Tickets for the event will go on sale April 4th.

NXT General Manager William Regal previous announced qualifying matches for the Global Cruiserweight Series would take place all over the world, including matches for EVOLVE Wrestling. Regal made the announcement during his appearance at EVOLVE 56.

I'd love an off season. It would automatically make the writing better. With 9 months on the air versus 12, storylines would have to be top notch. Stop after Halloween so the wrestlers can have the holidays off and return before the Royal Rumble. It's better for everyone. With that said...

Miz has been pretty damn good. His promos and ring work have been great. It's not the best gimmick in the world but he's making it work.

So I'm going to be at Raw tomorrow, and it's my first live event in over 10 years. Is there anything I should worry about in terms of security? I'll be heading over to the arena right after work so I'll have a bag with me. Will that be a problem, or should I try to travel as lightly as possible?

Standard security at Barclays. They'll probably just check your bag but you should be fine.

You should be good. But I'll give you advice that you probably already know. Take part in the smarkiness of the crowd. Help to hijack the f*** out of what you don't like and cheer the hell out of the stuff you do like. Help make tomorrow night an entertaining RAW for us all.

WWE can run year round without doing their grueling schedule. Ring of Honor, New Japan, TNA, AAA, CMLL, AJPW, NOAH, etc all have at least one weekly TV show plus house shows/PPVs year round. All of those promotions have injuries too, but none are anywhere close to the amount that WWE seems to accumulate.

WWE tapes Smackdown, NXT, Main Event, and Superstars ahead of time anyway. They should use the same model as all the other major promotions and tape bigger chunks of episodes at a time. I would suggest they go back to two hour Raws and dump Main Event and Superstars entirely, but they're not going to do that.

It's not really a matter of being year round but rather the sheer volume of WWE events.

For SummerSlam and NXT last year we had to empty our pockets for a metal detector and have our bags checked at the door. It wasn't all that bad.

Thanks guys. I don't know why, but I've just had this paranoia about doing something that ends up pissing someone off, even though I won't be anywhere near where the cameras will be. I was considering wearing a CM Punk shirt, but opted for a DX shirt instead.

Lol at Reigns tweet.

As for the off-season idea. I'd be for that. Let them take December off. The Rumble could be the start of your new season. First ppv anyway

You won't piss anyone off. As someone who's been going to WWE shows since the mid nineties, nowadays you'll realize how small a percentage the "smarks" make up.

WWE is essentially a "Disney on Ice" crowd now. Tons of kids and families. You almost feel silly taking it so seriously.
