Apparently there is a new animated series in the offing, Young Justice League. Very little is known about it. Is it more of a Teen Titans (collection of sidekicks and younger superheroes), a Young Avengers(new characters mimicking existing superheroes) of Her-Oes(de-aged characters in a new setting)? No idea.
But we do know it that Stephanie Lemelin is doing on of the voices, that of Arrowette. Because she went and blabbed on her blog, and even provided this little snippet of artwork.
Arrowette is of course a character from the Young Justice comic book, whose mother had previously appeared in sixties Justice League Of America. So can we assume that Young Justice League is some kind of animated adaptation of that now-abandoned youthful revamp Young Justiceby Todd Dezago and Peter David? Pretty please?
Stephanie is better known as the character Thorne in Cavemen, and played Mei Ling in Kung Fu Panda.

A forum poster "AnimaTed"
also recently spread word of this series among others. Here are a few quotes:
Cartoon Network OFFICIALLY Announces "Young Justice" animated series, and Mad Magazine
Have you heard the news? Today Cartoon Network announced not one, but two new shows sure to bring a smile to regular readers of THE SOURCE. Here’s the skinny:

MAD MAGAZINE is an animated sketch-comedy series produced by Warner Bros. Animation that uses the iconic MAD Magazine, published by DC Comics, as inspiration. Expect a chaotic mix of animation styles and twisted humor to pull back the curtain and expose the truth behind movies, TV shows, games, pop culture and, of course, curtains.

“You can expect to see some familiar faces on screen and big names behind the scenes,” said Diane Nelson, President of DC Entertainment. “The show will unleash MAD’s irreverent take on pop culture and today’s headlines, and feature classic characters including Alfred E. Neuman and Spy Vs. Spy. Our partners at Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network are helping DC Entertainment revitalize the cherished MAD brand across all media.”

Behind the scenes, animation buffs will find some distinguished names. Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Kevin Shinick (Robot Chicken) and Mark Marek (KaBlam!, The Andy Milonakis Show) are the producers.

Pretty fantastic news, right? But, wait, we promised there would be more and, yes, there’s more…

YOUNG JUSTICE is an all-new series produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based upon the characters from DC Comics. In YOUNG JUSTICE, being a teenager means proving yourself over and over – to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you’re not just a normal teenager? What if you’re a teenage super hero? How much harder will it be to prove yourself in a world of super powers, super villains and super secrets? Are you ready to come of age in such a world? Are you ready for life or death rites of passage? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? The members of Young Justice—Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis—are about to find out.

“There’s much more to come from DC Entertainment,” said Geoff Johns, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer. “This is just the beginning.”

Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Superman Doomsday, The Batman) and Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, W.I.T.C.H.) are the producers.

did I read correctly that Artemis, the blonde chick, is going to be half Vietnamese??

You did read correctly, Artemis was stated to be half-Vietnamese by Greg Weisman.

We're closing threads that haven't even hit 2,000 posts now?

Really?

I only just watched the Mr Twister episode. Superboy is a bit of a dick isn't he?

I think we'd all be a little pissy... especially with some chipper green chick running around burning cookies and trying to get all up in your mind.

He's a clone of Superman.He doesn't have all the super powers yet.I'd be pissed,too.

Just look at who he's cloned after.

Instead of being supportive to the clone, Superman runs off like a dead beat dad.

Well yeah, mother****er got cloned against his will. He must be just as mixed up about the whole thing as Connor is.

Maybe they should build him a new tube. You know, for sleepy times and when he's too scared of the outside world.

Funny you mention that. In issue #0 of the comic book tie-in, Superboy spends the night at Wally's house after the Cadmus incident. He has trouble adjusting to sleep on a bed, so he locks himself in Wally's closet and sleeps standing up.

So i know next weeks episode involves Bane, a batman enemy. Do you think this could be the episode where we start to see robin sort of take on that leader role? I would think he would know how to take on Bane the best out of the group. Im really interesting to see this upcoming episode it seems really cool

problem??

no........on the contrary.........

as someone who is half-white / half-chinese, I'm excited that there will be a character who is of mixed ethnicity.

it's just that the blonde hair/blue eyes seemed kind of odd, given that "asian" characters usually have darker hair colors.........

Interesting...

Also thats where I know Cadmus from. I spent most of the day trying to think where I knew it from cause it randomly poped into my head.

Considering the AU aspect of the show, for all we know Bane could be a new villain that Batman has never fought before.

I am genuinely surprised they had an episode, especially the first episode after the pilot, that had all the main characters out of costume the majority of the show.

I hope Superboy's powers evolve over the course of the show to include full flight and other Kryptonian powers.

also, I hope his tactile TK powers kick in too. after all, he was "rasied" in a lab that was just teeming with psychic/tk/tp power........lol.

Im pretty sure he will since most of them dont have tier full powers now.

Funny this review call the earth "Earth 21"

Vietti in an interview

http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2010/08/23/more-details-emerge-about-animated-young-justice/

The world of Young Justice is part of DC’s multiverse. “… We’re set on Earth 16,” Vietti said, “so we’re actually a part of the DC Universe – you know they have 52 earths now and we’re Earth 16, so we’re part of the multiverse, and the comic book that’s based on the show is going to be in continuity.”

Does Superboy have a different name or does he go by Clark Kent also? Which would seem odd to me.

I laughed when they said Robin won't tell them his real name. lol

Interestingly enough Wally was cutting it real close with Dick:

Mr. D
ark Glasses

Mr. D
ick Grayson
