Both feel poorly conceived to me, Gimli in terms of the character from the books was better, but was ruined in the movie. Hagrid is too simplistic and stereotypcial to obtain a vote from me, so i abstain from this round

I don't particularly root for either one in their respective series and I've read Hagrid's books, but can't force myself to read the Lord of the Rings books for some odd reason, but Gimli as a film character left more of an impression on me. So....Gimli.
