Your favorite directors

My top ten favorites as it stands now, this is ever changing of course as I've have plenty of movies left to see by many big directors.

1. James Cameron
2. Sergio Leone
3. Stanley Kubrick
4. Christopher Nolan
5. Francis Ford Coppola
6. David Fincher
7. Ingmar Bergman
8. Quentin Tarantino
9. Ridley Scott
10. Martin Scorsese

In no particular order:

Nicolas Winding Refn
Terrence Malick
Darren Aronofsky
Akira Kurosawa
Roman Polanski
Sofia Coppola (we certainly do need a few female filmmakers in here)
Andrea Arnold
Luis Buñuel
Elia Kazan
Wong Kar-Wai
Guillermo del Toro
David Lean
Bong Joon-ho

There are tons of directors that I would love to add to this list, but I think this will do.

I'll start:

Quentin Tarantino
The Coen Brothers
David Fincher
Martin Scorsese
Christopher Nolan
Steven Spielberg
Wes Anderson

And my favorite up-and-comers:

Tomas Alfredson
Nicolas Winding Refn
Duncan Jones

I don't consider Refn as an up-and-comer director. I mean, he could be regarded as a new director for some, but Refn has been active for 16 years now.
