ok it appears that u misunderstand wat i was getting at.......i'm not disagreeing with the facts of the fight, what u said is tru. I am just saying that it doesnt matter if Shishio understood a move or knew what wud happen if he blocked it; so what if he didnt know, thats his loss (lol excuse the pun) thats how fights are won or lossed.

If Shishio understood the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki fully like all of the other attacks of Kenshin's, he would have managed to find a way around the air displacement like Enishi did. Once Shishio fully understands a move, the attack is rendered ineffective to him, hence why he managed to defeat Saito, Aoshi, and Sanosuke.

well as i said all we have is speculation, quite frankly i cant say who would have won for sure in the Tokugawa era, while we know what level kenshin is at, no such info was given on shishio. As it stood, its a valid assertion that kenshin won because of the completion of his techinique (amakakeru) but whose to say shishio had those skills backin da day as well? i feel u, but u gotta admit, its speculation at the most.

I think it can be assumed that Shishio's skills would remain the same during the Revolution and the Meji Era. Plus he did not have his limit of being only able to fight for only fifteen minutes. Kenshin was still suffering for the loss of Tomoe and did not complete his training.

lol yeah shishio cud have gone on longer, but whose to say kenshin cudnt as well?? didnt know he wud come back from the 'dead' now did we.

The face duz look different and the hair is very similar, but the clothes and the wrist thing remind me of him. It just looks like Toboe's style to me.

saying this, a battle can only last so many dangerous cutting strikes before people start saying it's ridiculous. I guess since they are wielding weapons, they have to end without many blows to the opposition are actually made.
