Religion isn't a reason people do bad things. It's an excuse.

So religious people don't really believe in their religions, and aren't following the guidelines because they believe them to be true?

I'm saying some people do some really screwed up things in the name of their respective religions, but i believe they still would've turned out despicable individuals if they had chosen a different path. A lot of people are just generally F'd up in the head.

My god, I'm surprisingly misanthropic for a Christian.
