Saw it last night. Almost fell asleep. The only good thing about the movie was Natalie Portman and her acting. That is all it did for me. 2/5

Thought it was pretty funny, and it was actually a pretty good sword and sorcery movie in general. There was actually some nice action scenes and the effects were done surprisingly well. And the minutor scene was too awesome for words. I had a lot of fun watching this.

Thought this film was great. Definatley don't understand the negative reviews

This movie didn't come out here!

Looks funny though. Portman keeps getting hotter with age.

Watched it yesterday, and I thought it had some good laughs in it. Will definitely buy it when it comes out.

This movie was not as funny as I thought it would be. It had the makings of either a good comedy or a good quest movie. They mixed the two and it was just like ok. I guess that made it a bit confusing. There were some good dick jokes and then some really good action moments and cgi so it was a bit disjointing to go back between the two.

There aren't a ton of laugh your ass off funny. The minotaur scene and afterwards with Danny swinging that sword with his trophy on his neck was hilarious.

Basically this is like Year One with better actors in it.

** out of ****

And yes...Portman is soooo hot in this.

This was a million times better than Year One. But I'm easily pleased when it comes to low brow comedy.

Very funny. And yeah, Portman actually looks hotter now than she did 8-9 years ago.

Mixing medieval fantasy and comedy is a tough sell so I'm not surprised the movie is having trouble.

I still loved it, but this is the nature of the business. Sometimes you can never predict how a movie is going to take off and be huge or tank.

I hate McBride so I knew that I wouldn't probably wouldnt like the movie too much but I saw for Portman and Franco. It's alright, funny in some places and some surprisingly good action scenes along with really surprising visual effects.

I was watching the movie laughing and ten minutes into it i get a call the house is flooding. fml.

So I liked the first ten minutes

I enjoyed it, thought it was pretty lowbrow, but funny. My favorite part was when Courtney and McBride's character were sitting at the bar and Courtney says, in a depressing way, "Today is my birthday." And McBride replies "**** that." It was so cruel, but funny.

Man those trailers made it look so funny; it's kind of disappointing to hear it's not all that good.

Saw it tonight and loved it. Its like me and my friends playing D&D lol

Mehh.....the trailer was so awesome. The movie...was so not. I liked stuff in it...but as a whole, it didnt work. They really tried with that dialoge, which made it really horrible to hear.

The camera work was also pretty awful. Which is weird because DGG is pretty amazing with the camera work....massive disappointment. 5/10

A bunch of Debbie Downers in this thread. My only complaint is that this movie wasn't low brow enough and that Courtney wasn't featured more. Movie was a good time for me, which I needed because I been watching nothing but serious dramas the last week. And reading lots of depressing screenplays in preparation for a writing assignment.

Don't let Roger Ebert's poor review keep you from seeing it. Remember, this is the same guy who said Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Tim Burton's Batman were crap. So I wouldn't put too much stock in his opinion.

I say go see it and make up your own mind.

While I agree one should make up their own mind, Roger Ebert is hardly an idiot. He doesn't just make up his opinions out of thin air, and just because he doesn't follow popular opinion certainly doesn't make him stupid.

Yeah, sorry we're not robots who love everything.

Haha dude, I'm just messing around. It's totally cool if people don't like it. Don't matter to me. But I do wish you guys were robots though.

It was not nearly as funny as it should've been considering the talent involved with it. A lot of it felt like a bunch of scenes just glued together with little to no transition into the next too.

Did anybody actually expect this movie to perform well? I was excited to see it and I even thought it was going to do poor. The victory here is that this actually got made.
