Age of Extinction Your Ideas for Character Introductions in the Sequels

I was just thinking of cool ways that they could introduce other characters from the universe, and thought up a few. Just curious what you all thought:


Dinobots
Will continue with the stupid personalities, dumb tough bastiches. They crash onto earth in the middle of nowhere. They are told by Optimus Prime, via a signal, to adapt and take a disguise as soon as they land on earth. They scan the nearby area and find fossil's with some leftover DNA on the bones, and they assume the dinosaurs are still the dominate species.


Insecticons
They have three forms.

They are small in their bot form, maybe 8 feet tall.
They have their insect forms still. Same from G1, maybe a couple new forms.
Their vehicle form are motorcycles. Mainly the crotchrocket-type, kawasaki's and honda's. They swarm the autobots, bunch of them. They are real fast. They have the personality of the Japanese Bike clan from Kill Bill, Crazy 88's.

Not for nuthin, cosmicherosa, I like most of your posts, but I hate both those ideas. IF the Dinobots are in it (and I'm not saying they should be), the last thing I want is for them to be the "dumb" caveman gimmicky thing they were in the cartoon.

Either they should be "all terrain" weapons that may or may not resemble dinosaurs (a la AT/AT Imperial Walkers and Scout Walkers)... like Skorponok is... or they landed millions of years ago and took the form of ancient dinosaurs in order to scout the planet and were caught in some catastrophe.

[edit] ONE thing is for sure, Grimlock MUST be a challenge to Optimus Prime's authority and dominance... like he was in the comic book.

Soundwave, Megs Earth mode and the Contructicons:

Starscream returns to Cybertron announcing he is the new leader of the Decepticons, asking how, Soundwave hears of Megatron's apparent "death" and travels to Earth against Starscream's orders. He lands near a military satelite truck (not really good with vehicles sorry) and scans it. He listens out for frequencies that may be Megatron and picks one up from a massive bed of water. He travels there and makes it aware to Megatron that he is waiting. Megatron emerges damaged from the blast. Megatron scans a ???? and so now has an Earth mode. He and Soundwave now get to work on creating some new Decepticons: the Contructicons.

Now that I think about it, you may be right. I can see the whole bumbling moron angle getting real repetitive after a while. Having them go out on some top secret scout/hunt mission, only to have them crash on earth millions/billions of years ago would make sense.

What if after they are found (maybe in the Ark, or something similar), Grimlock and the other dinobots shrug the whole "adapt" thing, and kinda break balls about how the Autobots adapting to OUR look is kinda lame and weak and kinda pathetic for their allegiance to stoop so low to "fit" in. So they support the Autobots, but definitely do not conform and agree with their allegiance with the humans.

Kinda confuses me about everything I have heard about this movie. There have been news conferences announcing their arrival, flat out fights in the cities...........so like the whole "Robots in Disguise" is kinda pointless now. How and why bother even being in disguise, unless the whole "R.I.D." is meant between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

I remember somewhere on this site someone posted a great idea for an intro for the ark in the next film.

It was something like Ironhide contacts Optimus after he had been sent to like Hawaii (Tropical mountainy area) Optimus arrives and the two discover in the base of a huge mountain/volcano. Arriving inside the Ark Ironhide and Optimus reengage Teletran-1 and the remaining Autobots/Decpticons on the ship.

That sound any good?

The perfect way to Introduce Prowl in the sequel. Would be to show some people staring at the TV at what appears to be is your standard high speed police chase. a lone police car chasing after a would be car thief. The stolen car crashes and the cop car stops and transforms into a robot.

I'm actually glad that they didn't bring Soundwave into the movie, and he will be in the sequel. I see that they touch upon the Starscream/Megs relationship, so I would rather they build on that first. I imagine Soundwave is the big man in charge back on Cybertron or wherever else the Decepticons are looking for Megs.

I hope not. That's Shockwave's job. They BOTH should be in the sequel... but I fear Michael Bay will think that'll confuse the audience because their names are so similar. You know, cuz the audience is stupid (sarcasm).

Just have them there at the start of the movie? It can be implied they arrived sometime between the first and second movie. This would also be very G1 for all the diehards, they never showed new guys showing up, they were just there.

Ignoring the last part of that sentence, I agree with you. Shockwave should be the guy in charge. Unless he's going to come to Earth, though, I'd be okay with him waiting until the 3rd one for a debut. That's the film that'll have the most Cybertron screen time (presumably).

After a signal from Optimus Prime is heard by a few Autobots that are roaming through space they head for Earth but are soon tracked down by Shockwave who is a "General" of Megatrons he is also accompanied by a "Hunter" by the name of Soundwave. Shockwave would be just as ruthless as Megatron but smaller ( i cant really think what kind of vehicle he would be) Soundwave can be a very silent skilled assasin who has a variety of weapons, (laserbeak, ravage, and rumble) The autobots who arrive on earth are Hot Rod (A black Dodge Charger like the one from the fast and the furious. except it would be with
red and yellow flames) he is cocky but when he battles he is very quick and courageous with an arsenal of weapons. He gets on ironhides nerves because he is a "New School" type of Autobot. Prowl should be in it but it would be hard to make him a cop car because some people will get him confused with the one in the first film. i just hope they dont overdo it with too many characters in a sequel

These ideas are a combination of some of my ideas and others posts

Starscream returns to a devastated Cybertron announcing that Megatron has been destroyed and he is the new leader of the Decepticons to his Brothers Thundercracker, Skywarp and Ramjet. Soundwave hears of Megatron's apparent "death" and travels to Earth against Starscream's orders.

Meanwhile new Autobots have arrived on earth.

Soundwave lands near a military base and finds frenzy. He sends laserbeak and frenzy out to hacks it's computers. They listens out for frequencies that may be Megatrons and picks one up from a massive bed of water. Shockwave finds and repairs Megatron and reports on the abundance of energy on earth and his plan to re-energise cybertron. Megatron and Soundwave then get to work on creating some new Decepticons to help them gather energy: the Contructicons.

Optimus and the other Autobots hear of a group of industrial trucks on a rampage at a nuclear power station and go to check it out. When the Autobots arrive, Megatron announces his new weapon to destroy earth is Devastator. The Constructicons Merge and the Autobots have no choice but to fall back.

Earths armies send in F22's to attack Devastator. They turn out to be Starscream and his brothers but they are easily defeated. Megatron blasts the traitorous starscream and asks the other jets who wants to suffer the same fate. They join Megatron

Back at Autobot headquarters Optimus, Wheeljack and Mikaela are hard at work creating some Autobots that would be strong enough to take on Devastator. Mikaela suggests that the Dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of years ago were strong so Optimus agrees. The Dinobots are born.

Keep the autobot count low to make things nice and dramatic....

But having Mirage crash in the middle of an aerial conflict and scanning a race as he passes and using that to twist into a NASCAR or Formula 1 type thing before he can even hit the ground would be soo sick.

Arcee, arriving with Mirage could find herself in a military base with a VTOL jet and a very unhappy set of military personnel.

They might have Prowl with them, and the police bike sounds pretty cool. Especially if there's a police chase to come get Prowl in general. That'd be hot.

The Decepticons, on the other hand, are carefully planned out... Starscream assembles the Constructicon brothers at a construction site to help in the creation of Galvatron (big epic creation scene). Meanwhile, Wheeljack is a uber-tuned out Tuner street racer car (Maybe, like, a Honda Civic). Soundwave would rebel as an unbelievable entertainment system, complete with breakout subunits taking over for the minicassettes...

Oh... and Astrotrain's sphere stalls out in space. Inferno starts a fire... and who should show up? A Firetruck and Jhiaxis accidentally takes out an Aircraft carrier on his way down and has to replace it. Game over.

Mirage is easy. Hot Rod as a Dodge Charger would be awesome. I'd also like to see Prowl as a police bike. Great ideas, but what car would you make Wheeljack transform into?

Buffalo Graz, I love your list of Autobots, But I'd rather see Inferno than Red Alert. Firetrucks are awesome.

Prowl will most likely be in the sequel, he was suppose to be in the first but was changed to Barricade, so im going to go with Prowl, in his newest carnation, a motorbike.

Wheeljack is my second candidate, as he was awesome in the original and no doubt the writers will try him into the sequel, and finally

The dinobots will 90% be in the sequel, the producers and writers really seem eager to have them in the film.

My top concern for the dinobots is: How would they really translate to screen? I suppose I could see Grimlock, but I think that having all of the dinobots would just be overkill and wouldn't leave much room for any other autobots.
