Your most anticipated Movies for the rest of the year?

It's probably bias, but I thought the Cohen Bro's said they were going to make a more faithful adaptation?

It could be false, I too have never read the book so I don't know. But I thought they said they wanted to be more so faithful to the source. So what that entails I do not know. But I guess we will find out int he coming months. :woot:

That is the way that I understood it as well, my guess was the book was not so much of a rip roaring action adsventure as the John Wayne adaption, but no one here seems to be able to confirm the differences between the book and the original adaption.

All I know is that the top two that I want to see the most are Buried and 127 hours. I hope those films keep you on the edge of your seat for the most part. Even though we know how 127 hours turns out it's all about how Boyle handles it.

It's interesting that both those movies will rely on the lead actor to carry the movie on his own while trapped in a tight space for large chunks of the run time, perhaps the entire run time in the case of Buried.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One

I don't see the excitement for Black Swan, True Grit and Jackass 3-D. Especially the last one, yuck.

I think the Coen Brothers should've gone for another Cormac McCarthy book to adapt, like Blood Meridian or The Orchard Keeper. Those would be more challenging and more fulfilling than adapting True Grit again.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, Part I- I got into this series a little bit late (the movies, not the books), but now I really love it. I'm just excited to see how everything turns out and ends.

Tron Legacy: You've got the director of the original Tron as producer, you've got Jeff Bridges, you've got Daft Punk, and you've got Joe Kosinski. I really hope this is a game changer as far as how movies are made.

True Grit: I really like the original with John Wayne (though I haven't seen it for years), so I'm interested to see how this turns out. From what I've heard, it's supposed to be really, really good.

1. Tron Legacy: Because it's a sequel to Tron, nuff said.
2. Never Let Me Go: Interesting story and has a good cast to go along with it. Haven't read the book though.
3. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part I: Always been a fan, not the biggest but still, and is the almost last movie in the series.
4. The Social Network: Was a bit iffy on this, but when Fincher was onboard as the director I was stoked.

It's definitely going to be an interesting and I would say original film. Not only is Ryan Reynolds going to have to sell that entire movie and hold it together but once Franco gets trapped, he's going to have to step it up big time.

Harry Potter 7--I have a feeling they'll screw this up the way (IMO) they did Half-Blood Prince, but we'll see.

You didn't realize the filmmakers were shooting the final book as two movies, did you? Oh well. :o
