Your Thoughts on Ending being Possibly Changed (The Squid)

However, I could see going as far as to make it a UFO. This is in keeping with an alien threat without taking it to tentacled extremes.

Fans who saw a recent screening of 'Watchmen' in Portland have shredded their non-disclosure agreements with Warner Bros. and posted details of the ending of the movie online, an ending which differs from the finale in the graphic novel.
Well, Rich Johnston over at Comic Book Resources says 'Watchmen' purists needn't freak out just yet. He reports that several endings have been filmed, possibly to head off a situations just like this one. His report also reveals a SPOILER if you haven't read the graphic novel yet (and if you haven't...what's wrong with you? Go do this now. We'll wait.)
Johnston writes, "...the movie’s FX farm has already created big squid effects. And that there will be more than one ending of the film tested before general release. Expect to see all of them in the two/three disc DVD."

This is very interesting. I just hope the theatrical version has the squid ending. Its preferable but I would also be happy if Snyder used another ending as long as the meaning is the same.

In the end, one of the "heroes" is actually revealed to be a villain pulling strings throughout the entire movie. The villain's human body is not even real but just a shell that actually harbors this squid inside. The squid comes out of the villain's mouth and proceeds to expand his size to roughly 200 feet tall. This squid is monstrous and extremely disgusting flailing its tentacles around killing harmeless people. The heroes that remain have to band together and all use their superpowers in clever and new ways to take it down. The fight is the most epic fight to end all fights and lasts about 25 pages in the GN.

It's been a while since I read the GN though, so I might be slightly off.

I think the fact that he stated he had to fight to keep comedian's funeral and manhattan on mars in film, that he earned a little credit, besides, it probably wasn't up to snyder anyways, maybe he just said, "fine, but I get to make the mars scene as long as I want!"
