I don't think Snyder fans want the "Synder Cut" to ever see the light of day. They won't be able to use Whedon as a scapegoat for JL's failures at that point once they realize the movie is still horrible, if not worse.

It's easier to wish for something that they know won't happen as Snyder's last defence.

That makes no sense.

If Snyder’s cut’s worse, which I highly doubt given that the Cringe Whedon Dialogue is what largely ruined the movie for me, then so be it. There’s no doubt in my mind I still want to see it.

I think most people who hated BVS would consider the Snyder cut worse, but those who loved BVS would love the Snyder cut.

While I think Zack tried to make a few changes for studio mandated tone stuff, he probably didn’t conform enough to the demands. WB probably figured it would just be more of the same unless they made some drastic changes. I also think his cut probably would’ve been torn to shreds like BvS, this isn’t me saying it would have been worse than what we got, but I think it would have been even worse received than what we got in theaters.

Just a bad situation all around. But all they can do is learn from it.

I think his cut of JL would have been much more crowd pleasing than his previous DC movies. It seemed like his bits in the movie were praised parts, and he was taking the characters back to a more classic route(rather than going full cheesy) which is what nearly all fans agreed on!

I dont think his JL was going to have a BvS like divisive reaction.

I think it would have needed a critical embrace and a HUGE word of mouth. Being "just better" than the theatrical cut of JL or more crowd pleasing than BvS wouldn't be enough to continue on with Snyder.

i know it's easy for me to say in hindsight but all the troubles WB went through (reshoots, 2hrs mandate) ended up pointless financially so at the very least i wanted to see a coherent movie that is Snyder cut.

i know it's easy for me to say in hindsight but all the troubles WB went through (reshoots, 2hrs mandate) ended up pointless financially so at the very least i wanted to see a coherent movie that is Snyder cut.

You don't need the benefit of hindsight to realise how some of those re-shoots were going to be received. The sudden & violent shift in tone & dialog sometimes even mid-scene is extremely noticeable, not to mention about 80% of Henry Cavill's scenes had a CGI mouth which was also extremely noticeable in about 95% of the shots. They also add next to nothing to the film of any sort of significance in terms of story either, I am honestly curious to know what some of them actually replaced & why exactly.

That 2 hour mandate was motivated purely by greed so they could fit more screenings in daily & I for one am personally glad it bit WB in the ass very hard. In addition I remember reading that the reason that they didn't postpone the release by a few months was down to the fact that some of WB execs wouldn't get some bonus.

Despite the re-shoots I thought Justice League is barely passable, which to some extent is a failure, but there is no denying that it's a Frankenstein movie largely due to those re-shoots from 2 very different directors. I'd honestly have preferred to have seen a potentially worse film & having 1 fixed tone & director throughout the film.

I didn't think JL was passable. I thought it more or less sucked. 2nd least favorite DCEU film for me easily (only better than Suicide Squad).

I thought JL was passable. The characters are charming and there's some good scenes between the cast and theres some cool action sequences. I dont think, as a film, its a complete utter disaster like Green Lantern or Jonah Hex or Catwoman.

He posted that he was listening to a song called "Saturdays=Celebration" and the fans are speculating it either means somethings getting announced this Saturday or at Comic Con which lands on a Saturday. Oh and Zack liked the post.
