🇺🇸 Zohran Mamdani: The hope of New York City

US News

They can have him!

The point is to make him less appealing...

That said, given the state of FL under DeKlantis, I do think it says a lot that he would want to move there.

Hope they let him back in.:(

Yeah, they see this as the Tea Party from the left.

I'm kinda worried that Mamdani is going to start holding back from being the way he has been himself all this time. previously he wouldn't condemn the phrase "globalize the intifada" but now he discourages it. it seems like the establishment, or at least members of the establishment he met with like Bernie (if he even counts) wants him to dial back criticism of Israel.

He never even uttered such a phrase. It was the establishment Democrats like Schumer, Gillibrand, and Jeffries that was spreading that ****. Well any Democrat who got paid by AIPAC. Bernie is antiestablishment because he's not beholden to corporate donors and since he's Independent isn't beholden to the Democratic leaders. He CHOOSES to caucus with them in Congress.

Mamdani never uttered such a phrase, but he previously also refused to condemn it. on the other hand Bernie and even AOC, while they are also anti-establishment, they aren't completely anti-Zionism. Bernie purposefully avoids calling the the war between Israel and Palestine a genocide, and AOC in particular very recently is getting a lot of heat because she voted no to an amendment for a bill that will cut funding to the Iron Dome.

This video should be timestamped at 15:42 incase it doesn't start there:

that was Mamdani a month ago explaining, when asked, why he won't even condemn the phrase. this next video is from less than a week ago, after he met with Bernie, again after being asked about the phrase only this time answers with an explanation as to why he actively discourages it. it should be timestamped at 3:45 in case the video doesn't start there:

while people like AOC and Bernie probably inspired Mamdani, this change in one of his strong stances makes me fearful of how much more he could change by the time November comes around. as much as he has in common with those who inspired him, he's the only one who has been openly and unapologetically been pro-Palestinian. that's part of how he got so popular this far.

Bernie will never outright call it a genocide. He will condemn it as a human rights atrocity and war crime that it is. AOC just played herself by voting for that amendment to that ****ing bill. She got played by MTG. 🤦‍♀️

That's what I'm saying and that's what scares me, Mamdani becoming more like them 😔
