Just watched a screening of the movie. It is no Fant4stic but this is probably on par with Apocalypse or Last Stand for me. The first 30 minutes of the movie felt incredibly rushed with no sense of built up at all. And even though the music was gorgeous and lush, it felt over "scored" to me...

I don't think we should be making any more excuses for him. He has shown time and again that he is a hack. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for Dark Phoenix but he screwed the pooch.

I hope Hollywood stops hiring Simon Kinberg now. He has been given enough chances to prove what he is capable of and he has failed every single time. He should have never been given the reigns to direct this movie.

I remember First Class and DoFP reviews being embargoed very close to the release dates themselves. They overplayed their hand for Apocalypse and it bit them hard.
