‘Let The Right One In’ Coming to Showtime

Sounds good to me if it's completely different, since we already have two adaptations of the story. That's basically the reason why I didn't really care about this before, but now I'm interested if it's not the same thing again.

Sure but one of the main points of a remake is introducing the story to a new audience. So turning it into such a different story is just...odd to me. I'm sure it'll still be great, but it doesn't look like it'll be a great adaptation of the source material

Looking forward to seeing it. :)

This kind of snuck up on me, I can't recall seeing even 1 ad for this but it starts tonight and I'm just about to start Episode 1: Anything For Blood.

I really enjoyed both movies so I'm hoping this is at least reasonably close in quality.

I just finished it and I thought the first episode was quite good.

There are a couple of major plot changes from the movies, but they aren't bad.

Love the casting no weak characters in the pilot.

Definitely going to continue watching.:yay:

I agree with all of this, especially the cast. Can't wait for the next one. :D

Ok I just finished the first episode and I’m fully on board with this series. I thought that was a great first episode that sinks it’s teeth into you (heh) and it’s really well cast just like some of you said. I think the story is off to a great start and I like the plots that the pilot set up. That ending I figured how it would end but thought it might go the other way so that when it did end how I thought it was gonna end it was tragic for the characters we knew it would effect so I can’t wait to see where that development takes us throughout the season. So basically I loved this first episode and that song choice of “Sweet Child of Mine” was excellent and I know Guns N Roses have to be happy with the royalties checks they cashing in this year between this show and Thor: Love & Thunder.

Between this and Interview with the Vampire there is definitely no shortage of quality vampire shows right now even though I know its still a bit early to judge, but damn I'm really enjoying both shows so far.

As a fan of both the original and the remake I'm liking the changes that they have made while still retaining the tone and atmosphere of the source material and the cast is pretty great too.

Demian Bichir is so perfect in this role.

He's one of my favorite people. I was so happy to see he was in this and he's been wonderful. :)

Yeah I really liked Demian Bichir in Weeds back in the day which introduced me too him so it’s good he’s back with the Showtime family.

I first saw him the FX show The Bridge a few years back. :)

Yeah I remember that show from a few years ago I watched maybe the pilot and probably the second episode but didn’t continue but I thought it was okay from what I remember but didn’t really interest me to continue.

I watched it through. It was a bit strange, I'll give you that, but I enjoyed the whole cast.

Episode 2 was a strong follow up to the pilot.

I agree that the changes from the movies really works well and pretty much needed to make a series out of it.
The cast was solid in the pilot and even better after the 2nd episode. It's rare to see such solid casting across the board, usually there's at least 1 weak character.

Interesting take on other primates being able to be infected. Do they prefer human blood or that of their own species, or is any primate blood good enough?

About the blood they haven't said. Maybe next episode. :)

Maybe I missed the explanation but
why does the burned vampire doesn't heal ?

I thought he was, just very slowly. I think if he fed more on humans, it might go more quickly.

Anybody still watching this. I think this series is fantastic and the Eleanor flashback episode was great and that ending so emotional.
